I thought if might be interesting to see what my collection might look like if 3P didn't exist.
The results......send shivers down my spine! I shocking to see how empty most of my shelves would be!

For this experiment I decided to go with official molds vs 3P molds since I have a couple KOs in the mix but they are KOs of official MPs. So KO Sideswipe and yes model Skywarp were counted among the official molds.

Yup, I think I now have more 3P MP's than I do official TT MP's at this point. Some dump all over 3P products, but I think they are more of a blessing than a curse. I'm glad that 3P companies exist as long as they keep producing great quality products because TT is snoozing.

 

What a fun thing to do. Didn't notice the other bots but I think your Soundwave would need a hand transplant too   . I'd try this if I had more time but I'd only be left with Optimus, Magnus, Soundwave, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Wheeljack, Tracks, Ironhide, Sideswipe, MP9 Rodimus and MP28, Seekers. That's actually not too bad! About a 1/3 of my collection, counting combiners as individual bots

 

Don't worry about having to separate your officials, KOs and 3P toys- if you place them together on the same shelf, you won't wake up to them screaming at one another all night.

That only happens here.

 

I think its funny that so many of those characters do not have official masterpieces yet but yet Raul does. I wonder how many people would have expected him to get such a high priority back when MP-10 was released.

Love this thread. Let me add that all my officials are still MISB and I'm not feeling like I'm missing out. I have every official mp figure and repaint except for bayformers. That's MP01 to last months primal repaint all in sealed boxes and I like the way the boxes look but I enjoy fiddling with all my 3p which far outnumber the official ones.

Man just makes me ask myself WTF is TT doing? TT had a chance to pick up the pace, but they missed the boat.

They eventually did, but it was just a bunch of reissues, repaints, and non-g1.

It would take them a decade to fill all those missing spots.

 

Now you've got me looking and counting. And it looks like I was wrong. I thought I have way more MP 3P's but it turns out my collection is exactly 50/50. I was way off. But still, that's quite a few 3P's filling in the missing pieces rather nicely.
