I'm curious as to what everyone uses for an underarm anti-stink device.

For years, I used Old Spice Mountain Rush, which had a fresh, pleasant, but not overpowering sweet smell, and it vibed well with my body’s ph. Well, Old Spice decided to pull a dick move and discontinue the scent. I noticed it was disappearing from shelves, and I happened to see it on clearance at Safeway, so I bought all of them.

The surplus lasted me for about a year and a half, but as I was running out, I had to make a decision. Old Spice’s next best scent was a brand called Denali which has a very nice smell, but after a couple of uses, I noticed that it was giving me chemical burn and I had an allergic reaction to it. I contacted Old Spice via their Facebook page, and they refused to believe that their product could cause chemical burn.

The next best scent from Old Spice was Arctic Force. It wasn’t as good as Mountain Rush and didn’t smell as good as Denali, but was adequate. After about a year, Old Spice again pulled another dick move and discontinued the scent, so I resorted to eBay and Amazon for my deodorant fix while the price was still reasonable. At the time, I found 12 sticks for $60, so I jumped all over it.

Now, at $70 for four sticks, the prices are almost offensive, so I went to the local department store to sniff out new brands. Ultimately, there was nothing I liked. Shoppers looked at me like I was nuts while I opened and smelled all of the sticks. I closest thing that was comparable to Old Spice Arctic Force was Axe Odyssey, but after a few uses, it started to give me chemical burn. My underarms were on fire yesterday!

At any rate, I’m curious to see what brands other people use. Perhaps some suggestions or seeing what other people like could help me choose another brand. Old Spice is dead to me.

No particular brand, but I like to avoid anti-perspirant.

Related to the thread, but I'm more interested if anyone's ever gone to that Old Spice Armpit Festival in Battle Mountain, Nevada? Do they even still have that? And if so, what is it like?

For years I've used Gillette Undefeated. Before that I used Sure brand, but it was too crumbly, so I switched to a gel. For the past few days I've been trying Secret unscented (I think it's technically a girl's deodorant, but I don't care, lol). I really don't like fragrances and soapy smells, so I've been trying to find something that doesn't leave a scent on me. If this works out, it will probably become my new regular.

I have really sensitive skin, so I have to avoid that stuff. It will cause my skin to turn a bright red if I put it on. I actually have to be careful what soaps I use because some soaps will mess up my skin as well.

I use Old Spice. I use the traditional scent white roll-on bar.

I'm not even sure if it's still a thing, but what happened was in the early 2000s a journalist at some major publication called a small town in Nevada, Battle Mountain, the "armpit of America." One of Battle Mountain's responses was to have an Old Spice festival in the summer.

I can't seem to find any current or continuing events, so I wonder if it was just for a year or a few years or something? I know not what became of it or how long it lasted.

EDIT: From searching around, apparently it lasted three years.

ugh. my school has a weekly smash bros tournament and while most people are fairly well-off hygiene wise, there's always those few that smell like they've never heard the word shower. one of them literally throws a fit and pouts whenever he loses a match, and then talks cryptically about "redemption" and "having something to prove." he's overweight but insists he's going to have a six pack by march.

For years I tried many different deodorants with many not being strong enough for my sweaty self, with the rest irritating my skin. Then I learned of perscription strength deodorants. They are successful and I don't have to worry about my co-workers hating me!

....just realized this could've been an ad...

This is an unusual topic. I don't have any particular brand I stick too, just whatever I happen to find that is cheapish and that I like the scent of. I guess alot of Suave, Old Spice and occasionally Teen Spirit. I like Baby Powder, Wild Cherry and several floral and tropical scents. My boyfriend complains about Old Spice so I don't use it on days he's coming over.

    @Galvatross
They have an armpit festival?

From looking things up...they used to. It only lasted a few years in the early-mid 2000s. Why it went away is something I can only speculate on.

I just go with anything that has "sport" in it. I've tried standard versions and they just don't cover enough for me, but anything that is meant to be "extra strength" usually has me covered. Old Spice pure sport is my current choice.

I never cared about brands or scents or whatnot as long as it covered the funk. I just let my girlfriend pick something out when we're grocery shopping that she likes and would be okay with if she accidentally rolled over and had her face in my armpit at night.
That's pretty much the standard criteria around here.
As it stands, I have Axe Phoenix and some newer Old Spice dry stick around.

Anything other than a combination antiperspirant/deodorant product burns the skin off my armpits...like a chemical peel. Avoid plain deodorants.

Never found anything that keeps the funk away as well as Degree.

At the moment Old Spice Krakengard. Though when that's done I'm going to explore other options.
