    Dear subscriber,

Unfortunately, over the last week, we have been experiencing delays at our distribution centre which have affected your subscription to Transformers: The Definitive G1 Collection.

We are very sorry about this and can assure you that we are working very hard to ensure that normal service is resumed as swiftly as possible. Please bear with us as we implement the necessary arrangements to resume your subscription. We appreciate that payment has already been taken for this dispatch, in line with the usual schedule, and we apologise for this.

While saving £20 per month would certainly help my toy purchases along , it would be a shame not to be able to finish this collection .

Same boat here. Pretty much a perfect Hachette finale based on their previous. We should have seen this coming!

I had a feeling there was another shoe to drop when my Forbidden Planet pre-order to plug that local-Smiths skipped 'Time Wars' gap worked so easily and I nailed on a 'Toy Soldiers' pre-order with them to make damned sure I'd get it! Hachette finds a way!

So that's the Marvel G1 books completed now... mostly. From what I can tell from my checklist the only major missing issues are UK #93, GI Joe vs Transformers, the Movie adaptation and a few obscure ones like The Special Teams Have Arrived and The Night the Transformers Saved Christmas.

Starting to think I may have a local G1 cherrypicking rival as there was no sign of Toy Soldiers at my Smiths, typically having missed Time Wars I've since seen both the interim IDW volumes to once again find bupkiss this week, good job I have my preorder in with FP!

Would be nice to have them included though. Would be interested in knowing exactly why those have been left out.

Very interesting. So it seems that the exclusion of The Gift was an accident and this seems to hint that an extension is coming? I'd imagine it would fit in well with whatever volume includes the Holiday Special, as a companion piece maybe?

Of course #66 Toy Soldiers, the last volume I need, goes and sells out from both the Hachette and FP websites within 24 hours, on the one day I'm too busy to order one...

Keep an eye on the FP site, I just cancelled my pre-order after nabbing it from Smiths. It may also just be listed as sold out while they fill out their Pre-orders on either or possibly both sites.

So how is the quality on these? Also, size? I liked the old uk comics being larger than the us ones. Ideally I'd prefer to collect the original releases but that woukd likely be more expensive and harder than this.

Dude, you'd get rich selling that on blurays. That must havd taken years to scan properly! I know, I tried myself with the Hungarian Marvel issues.

I scanned them all during the summer of 2014, I think it was. I was stuck at home, so I scanned Transformers and listened to lots of Doctor Who audiobooks. But it would be wrong to start selling the scans, unless there is some permission given.

I mean that ebay is sort of full of that stuff already. Especially with old TV shows that were never released on DVD getting "unofficial DVDs" and such. I bought one of Beast Wars 2 way before the official japanese DVD release... not that it was worth it as the guy lied to me about the quality.

Why are these so bloody hard to get? Bookdepository does not have them, most online stores do not have them. A guy sells a lot of them on ebay but refuses to opt out of ebay global shipping that would make shipping a fortune.
