Huge ass screen, loud ass surround sound and a higher quality picture? I don't get the love for 3D anyways. Ruins movies for me unless it works really good and I don't see it working in a Nolan film TBH.
    Same here. :(

So far the good reviews outweigh the negative ones. I'm inclined to say that it seems like a case of going against the crowd to try and be heard.

    EPIC. MOVIE.
That's all I can say until I regain consciousness from the epicness I've witnessed in IMAX.

How'd you see it in 3D when it wasn't an option?

Whoops, my bad, just IMAX. I'm just really used to saying "IMAX 3D"

Gotcha. I'm debating whether or not I should see it in IMAX. The last movie (actually only movie) that I saw in IMAX was Tron Legacy. The sound was pretty amazing.

Well, other than TDKR, I saw Amazing Spiderman in IMAX (3D, :lol )
Both are awesome. The sound and scale for TDKR is astonishing.
If you have the choice of weather to watch it in IMAX or not, go with it. You probably won't regret it, unless you're allergic to awesomeness.

Honestly all of the negative reviews I've seen so far come either form the Marvel's Avengers fan crowd going all hipster on Nolan with their "durr hurr realism not my Batman, bat suit look stupid!" or from the people who liked The Dark Knight because of Heat Ledger's death while not getting what made that movie great, and who probably never heard of Begins.

So far I'm waiting so see what the Nostalgia Critic (he had the single best Avengers review on the internet) and The MoviePreviewCritic will say about this because right now they are the only two reviewers I thrust.

Yeah, I'm betting there's gonna be more negative talk against the movie once its released and everyone starts talking about it, just so people can go against the majority. Same thing happened with the Avengers

Conversely, none of the negative reviews I've seen fit into that category.

I still don't believe it will be a bad movie. What we know about it is so good it can't be bad like ROTF bad.

Well, I should clarify... what I've read has not defined it as a bad movie, but more accurately, a disappointing movie. Every review I've read has had positive things to say about the movie, specifically
Bale's performance (apparently he owns this movie)
, but also that there are elements that simply don't work for whatever reason. But the
plot contrivances at the end are enough to convince myself this is an easy pass
    .

I don't believe it will be either. But then again I've been careful to not misplace my excitement as high expectations. I don't expect it to be as good as The Dark Knght. I expect it to be a good movie that finishes off the series. I'm just really, really excited.

Also, thanks to you and others for using spoiler tags so discussion can keep going. (even if what you're saying isn't super-spoilery)

    And the Dark Knight!!!

Or, some people may not actually like the movie upon seeing it. I know that I didn't like TDK first time around, and if I had been a reviewer would have given it a very bad review.

Gotta love fans getting so butthurt over what someone (who they don't even know and more than never heard of before) writes about something they like. I did love the one fan comment "I will rape you in the mouth for writing your review." That made me lol.

See, this could very well be just me here. When TDK came out, that was a definite first weekend movie, no question. Plans were set weeks in advance, and anticipation was near all-time levels. But with TDKR, I don't know... it just hasn't been the same for me at any point. But I'm looking forward to hearing what people think about it on here.
