I just got Cybertron Defense Hot Shot. I was wondering do the other two Cybertron defense toys have as much revealable weaponry? I must say it's the best thing about Hot Shot.
Scattershot has a huge cannon that flips out of one arm and missles that slide out of the other arm. He is my fav of the Cyb Def figures. Red Alert just has the big-ass missle pretty much... And a hammer.
Red Alert is the worst of the bunch, but still decent. Scattershot is AWESOME. Two huge missle launchers on his arms that open to reveal a huge cannon on one arm and big missle launcher on the other. Plus he has a gun. Red Alert mainly has the big missle.
The size of Red's missile kinda makes up for the lack of hiding. Plus he has that sweet as hell giant hammer. Can't beat a giant hammer. And Scattorshot's packing plenty extra in the arms.
Scattorshot and Hot shot are great, I think I will pass on CD red alert unless someone can give me a good reason to get him.
Scattorshot looks amazing, and he's by far my favourite of the three, can't wait to get my paws on him!
They are all solid toys packed with play value. However, CDHS simply rules the roost in terms of the quantity of weaponry. I suspect RA's mega-missile would win the prize for sheer firepower (and it does sort of open up into a laser cannon).
I only have RA as the others aren't out here yet. I like him even with the massive cannon. If it was smaller he would be amazing, cause even with it he is a really good TOY!
I've only got CD Red Alert... and I'm REALLY impressed. I didn't think I'd like him half as much as I do. I definately reccomend him. He's easy to transform, but isn't too simple that he isn't fun... he's got lots of articulation... and if you have Energon figures, take their weapons, get creative, and see how many you can pile onto CD RA. I actually ran out of Energon weapons. The only thing that concerns me about CD Scattorshot is what looks like a REALLY simple transformation. Easy is fine... but I'm not too big on "simple"... If I have some extra money, I'll probably pick him up... but I've been a little on the poor side lately.
Get all 3. They're a team, so you need all 3. Plus, they are all really fun. I wouldn't say that Red Alert is the weakest of them at all. I really like him. I would actually say that Hot Shot is my least favorite of the team.
None reported. Similar to his original body, I don't think there were any deco changes between both releases.
I think alot of people are missing Red Alert's other two weapons. The blaster on his left leg and the big gun mounted on his arm. You know, that big thing that flips out that holds his cool hammer? It's a gun....
I don't think people put 2 and 2 together and realised it was a representation of his original gun-arm. Of course, most non-GF watching people haven't seen him use it as a gun, either, with a really nice firing sound effect.
