I didn't see a central thread for this so here it is. This is for people to get help or suggestions for customizing.

I need help with pins. I hate pins. They are a pain in the ass to take out without destroying the figure (essentially meaning that you need to buy two of the figure, one to destroy one part and the other to destroy the other part so that you have two good parts for customizing). Does anyone here know of a way to get pins to come out without destroying/damage the figure? I've heard boiling water helps, but then the question is how long do you boil a Transformer for?

I started out with a pin punch and rubber mallet. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and it was a major pain trying to whack those suckers out.

I have started using a soldering iron to remove pins with varying degrees of success. You just have to be extremely careful. One slip of the hand and you could burn a hole right through your figure, or your other hand.
