Those Senators have quite messed up whims. Seriously, they constructed cold a walking electric chair and animalistic bodies (especially since beast mode Transformers are treated like shit) ? Who in their right mind would order that?

I'm willing to bet that someone like Ravage was constructed cold like that as a 'because we can!' rather than a purpose.

 

Always struck me as a metaphor for routine infant circumcision, especially Windblade's horrified reaction in TAaO vol 3 what with her being analogous to a Japanese where such genital cutting is relatively unheard of.

 

That's how Transformers should be made, as far as I'm concerned.

 

In general it seems the original plan for the whole Forged and Constructed cold stuff was to introduce a deeper divide between the Cybertronians, rather than being different ideology it was going to become a lot more ugly and difficult to address, the first season of MTMTE sort of played with the idea but it was soon dropped which I think was prematurely.

Great ideas but clearly the writing ability wasn't there.
