Get well as soon as possible Mr Renner.

Blunt chest trauma
2 surgeries so far
Good god… hope he recovers from all that. He’s lucky he ultimately didn’t die right then and there.
Yeah hope he recovers, I can guess less action movies(Hell few movies or TV at all) for a few years, if ever, after something like that. At the minimum it'll be a hard recovery. Apparently a neighbor who is a Doctor may have saved his life by applying a tourniquet.

Dave Bautista Calls Marvel Exit a Relief: Drax Was Too 'Silly' - Variety
So I'm concluding that Drax is getting killed off.
Thing is Drax has come back from the dead as a new person more and than once in the comics, so dying and coming back as a new actor is possible.
Right. Despite Drax playing one of the newest incarnations of the character in the comics there are other versions that he could be resurrected as (the original with actual super powers comes to mind) and given how he's got a different look and personality each time it would give them an excuse to recast as well. Assuming someone at Marvel wants to keep Drax around.
Hell his origin is dying and being brought back to life. So they wait a few years, Drax comes back to kill resurrected Thanos who’s going on a killing spree for his Mistress Death in some future Warlock movie or something

No but for real, he was ran over by a 15,000 pound snowplow. I hope he is okay and this doesn’t leave him with career ending injuries.
The snow must’ve cushioned the blow…
That headline cut off is extremely unfortunate…
Truly unfortunate headline...
Good lord that headline.
Truly, truly happy that he is recovering, though. That could have easily been fatal. Good to see him awake and communicating and moving. I know that has to be a massive relief to his family.
