Even with it having a good post 60 test screening score I'm now starting to believe them it's bad. Why? It had the same score as black adam and adam ended up--yeah.
What scares me--shazam 2 had the same test score as black adam and batgirl! Uh-oh.

Nope it was reported on the news sites. Keep in mind they saw an unfinished version of batgirl pre edited. Star wars was a mess and "unwatchable" also till George's wife saved his butt editing the film herself all night.

Again, it had the same score as black adam and black adam--yeah. That is not a good sign for batgirl.

I'd be ok being wrong... but as I recall the News sites reported as saying that someone said that there was a screening somewhere at some time and that suposedly it scored as good as Black Adam.

    Nothing specific or concrete.

Ok… it came from THR… but who was the source of information? And why do we give them more credibility than Zazlov himself?

I doubt it. I heard Bale was so drained by the performance that he never wanted to do it again; he even refused playing Gorr initially.

Now that Firefly, aka Brendan Fraser, has an Oscar, WB may plan to release something on Batgirl.

Or alternately WB can just blame itself for shooting itself in the foot.

They can't release Batgirl unless they want to owe the govt a lot of money since they canceled it for a tax cut.

Yeah, doing it as a tax write -off kills any chance of a legal release if they change their minds. Best we can hope for is someone in the inside leaks the film online out of spite.

Yeah, they can't legally release it, or rather they can't make any money off of it. I wonder if technically they could release it as long as it was free for anyone to watch it with no advertising. But then you would have to blur out any corporate sponsors that are in it also. In any case, it will never happen.

Seems like that would be such a legal grey area that even if it were possible they wouldn't want to risk it. Imagine having to pay all that money they wrote off back to the IRS. From personal experience when my step-dad ended up owing one year the IRS isn't kind if you owe and are having trouble paying. :lol

The original article makes it sound mostly like the original Justice League production was the problem, including some stuff about Joss Whedon. He says he liked BvS and says he felt like he finally really nailed the character when he did The Flash. He also talks about not wanting to work overseas and preferring to stay in LA where he can spend time with his kids, which isn’t the way big budget superhero movies are made these days.

My favourite part is when he refers to the Grammys as his wife’s work event. He makes it sound like going to your partner’s boring Christmas party where you’re bored and don’t know anyone.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is not a good installment in the DC Extended Universe, but it's nowhere near being the worst in the franchise. The villains are forgettable, the stakes make no sense, and the ending is one of the biggest cop-outs in superhero film history. Still, it has its moments with Jack Dylan Grazer carrying the weight of the film as Freddy Freeman. In short, watch this film at matinee price at most.
