Has anyone found compatible combiner heads for the superion/Computron mold?

it says the name was originally for dustup, so i'm betting a simple repaint of CW lightspeed will do

 

Recent recieved a solo CW Dustup* so I can start preliminary work for a convevsion to TR Minerva.

My question is if anyone has posted or has attempted to alter the lower legs to allow the knee joint to work when the back window and trunk are facing front (acting as shins and feet ala G1 Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak)?

I've been studying the engineering and it seems like I'd need to either modify the original knee assembly or make a new one. Either way, what I'm thinking is that the existing knee joint needs shifted to the other end of the part (in stock robot mode, it needs to be moved to the front of the leg instead of the back). The problem then is that it would now occupy the space of the current "kneepad", which is supposed to brace the knee in place for vehicle mode conversion. I don't know how really critical that part interaction is, or if I can get away with changing it or if would need to make a leg brace on the underside of the rear window plastic.

It's not something I can't figure out, but I'd like to see another's solution to this if it's been attempted before. If not, I guess I'll provide that service.




*She's the only version of that mold to have the right shade of red gaucho legs and other hard-to-paint parts, have the right car style for a Minerva, and NOT demand $40+ minimum on ebay. CW Brake-Neck née Wildrider goes for ridiculous quid there.

As an aside, every Victorion piece can be found individually on eBay in the $10 ballpark. Did people just ditch the box set the moment the Takara version was announced? (Can't blame them, honestly.) If so, that still doesn't explain why the TorchBearers are so plentiful individually, unless it's to attract customizers looking for said molds in specific colors.

 

you mean dustup. rust dust is the motorcycle and judging from the other molds mentioned jumpstream doesn't fit the bill...

as for the leg thing, i know someone did a stakeout with the style you are referring to. i'll search it up in a second.

Turns out that there's a guide for exactly what I want for the legs.

 

so now that we have a SG limb, time for a SG combiner.

 

I've personally been thinking it could be fun to Kit bash a Motor Master and Optimus (Something like TFSS Toxitron) into a Zombie SG Optimus Maximus. I picture him as looking beaten to Hell, and have half the face of combined mode head missing, exposing "Skull" underneath. I'm not sure what his limbs would be though.

Story wise, I've been thinking of something similar to Galvatronus. Though instead of using hypnosis, Prime would combine with dead limb bots. To make it even darker, and to add some background as to why he is possibly using characters who weren't originally a combiner components, the story could say that Prime has had some of the dead Autobots re-forged/rebuilt into limbs for him. Reason he uses the dead? He's absolutely mad/paranoid, believing that others would try to steal secrets form him while combined, and no one alive wants to combine with that maniac.
