For those that have gotten the clones, or plannng on getting them, what do you think is the best route to go, get the 2 pack of Wingspan and Cloudraker from the Walgreens, take your chances trying to get Pouce and Fastcla (hell with it, we go by their REAL names here ), Fastlane from the box set, or would it better, ie cheaper, to just get them from Takara and be done with?

 

I'm just gonna grab the Takara versions.

 

I prefer the colors of the Hasbro clones and the Walgreens set is cheap to pick up, but this late in the game might be easier and less frustrating to just go takara for all four

 

If you go the Takara route for the Autobot clones just a fair warning that they are VASTLY different in coloration in case that bothers you.

They're basically pink in most places.

 

At this point Takara. I was only interested in one box, so I'll end up with two Wingspans. But I'll only be out extra $20. Instead of $100+ to get both clone cons.

 

The Takara ones look better so I'd just go with Takara.

 

I have the Hasbro versions, I really like Pounce and Wingspan, but I had gotten the box set when it came out, which changes things enormously; no aftermarket tracking and hassle.

If I didn't have the box set to begin with, I'd probably have just waited and gotten the Takara clones.

I'm planning on picking up the clone set along with a few other legends once they're available, I think this weekend? Pounce/Wingspan were two of my favorite TFs as a kid so worth it to me. They both served as honorary Battle Beast mounts from time to time  

 

I just recently picked up the clone autobots the other day from bbts. I don't need the other 2 guys (decepticon takara set) cause i have 1 from the Walgreens pack and the other from the cybertron pack. So i got all 4 of them even thouth i have an extra autobot clone.

 

If you don't want the figures from the boxsets, then buy the Legends versions. Aside from Ginrai (which I already had), though, I don't understand why you wouldn't want the rest of the figures. They're all awesome, every single one.

 

At this point the Takara sets will be a good bit cheaper. For a while the prices on the box set figures weren't tooooo bad but they've gone up now.

Takara will be $72 + shipping
Hasbro will be $13 for Walgreens (they're on sale now), plus probably ~$40 for Fastlane and ~$50 for Pounce (going by recent sold listings on eBay), so probably at least $100 total.

Depends on how much the deco matters to you and how much disposable income you have. I can't get on board with the pink on the Takara Clonebots so I'd still buy the more expensive Hasbro figures if I didn't have them already (although I do like the silver faces on the Takara 'Cons). If you're particular about show accuracy, that would be a factor too. Just like the Headmaster figures, TR follows the look from S4/Rebirth while LG follows the look from The Headmasters, where the Clonebots did have the pink and red two-tone look.

 

While I'm not overly keen on the pinkish chests of the Takara Bot clones, I'm happy to get the pair without having to track down the boxset versions. So I've gone Takara for both Bot and Con clone sets, preordered at AE for $25 per set, I couldn't pass them up.

 

i was lucky i managed to get the two big box sets but it was stressfull as hell, honestly if i had knowen that takara was going to do what they did i would of held off

 

I like the lighter colors on the Hasbro decepticon clones but I pre ordered the decepticon set.

I would just get the Takara 2-packs. The costs for the 2-packs aren't that bad. NA retailers have them for about $35, but you can probably score them a bit cheaper from overseas retailers. No need to purchase extra boxsets and get stuck holding the bag on the unwanted leftovers.

 

I pre-ordered the Takara versions, and although I slightly prefer the Hasbro colors, I will be happy to have the Takara ones as a baseline. I also picked up the Walgreens 2-pack on sale. If I can find the other two Hasbro versions for a reasonable price, I'll pick them up too. Otherwise, Takara honestly will be just fine for me.

It'll be priced ~$28, and based on shipping estimates for current product the total shipped to continental US would best about $43. Likely a few bucks more if you buy through an intermediary.
