Who is deceiving me and why?
I must say, I cannot take "it is a reboot" as a worthy reason...And it does not explain, how they learnt the English language, just by hitting the Earth.

No one is deceiving you. @96megatron is right. It takes place in 1987, I thought it was 1984.

 

I'll say this, once they get this off the ground, they gotta make Agent Burns the Phil Coulson of the HasbroVerse.

 

They didn't outright say it was a reboot, but they did reword it into saying that it's a "new storytelling universe." Same thing, though. The Bumblebee universe takes elements from the G1 toon and Bay. Also, it's 1987. Also, I'd guess Cybertronian technology allows them to learn a language real quick.

 

i know some people dont like the idea of bringing back dead characters but the idea of blitzwing, shatter, and dropkick being rebuilt into an animated style blitzwing sounds cool

Cyberbot8460, I see about the "Universes" peculiarity, but BumbleBee couldn't learn the language just by hitting our planet. In that case I would expect the Decepticons to be able to use the satellites without interacting with humans...And it looks like the English language was their mother- tongue as well. Though the male Decepticon was telling "This is humiliating", and no humans reacted, it seems that the Deceptcions were torturing BumbleBee in English. Which was a very strange choice to me: they could have used their language or even something, that humans cannot hear at all. As it has been already shown in other movies.

 

I mean, it's just a movie, in the end. Cybertronians spoke English in nearly every other form of Transformers fiction. Even amongst themselves in the Bay movies, they spoke English.

That being said, I do hope the next movie has a different lead (and human cast overall, aside from maybe John Cena). Don't get me wrong, I liked Charlie a lot. But her story is over, and there's no need to bring her back.

I actually hope every future Transformers movie has a new cast, with no reoccurring leads. That would avoid the problem the Bay sequels have, where Shia and Wahlberg began to overstay their welcome. Giving each movie a different human cast would help keep the focus on the Transformers, instead of turning into the "Hailee Steinfeld show" (or whatever other actor they pick for the next movie).

Seeing a G1 Faithful Optimus Prime makes me wish he appeared in Ready Player One.

 

Back in early 2019, I had a funny theory about how Bumblebee and TF1 are related.

Charlie Watson made a cameo as the Highway Mom in TF1!

I had this idea back when Bumblebee has yet to be confirmed as a reboot (a new timeline). Charlie Watson was 18 years old in 1987, she would be around 38 in 2007. But since Bumblebee is now confirmed as a start of new timeline, this is just for fun.

I am not sure if this is the right discussion thread to post theory like this. If there is better place to share this type of post, please tell me. Thank you.

 

For the second movie.I would like to see a decepticon team made up for:

Astrotrain (The leader of the group)
Motormaster (Optimus's enemy)
Flywheels (Its transformation would be great)
I would like to see Shatter again, but if not, Windblade could take his place.
And finally some new robot with an animal mode.

At least 3 or 4 decepticons should appear this time.


P.S: I found it funny, seeing the approvals on Rotten Tomatoes... not even the last 4 Michael Bay movies together reach this one.
