    The iconic ship of Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johny Deep) in the Pirates of the Carribean movies has gone to the bottom off the shores of St. Lucia in what appears to be a freak accident. The ship was travelling for repairs when she began to take on water: the crew is okay, but it is fear that the ship is lost for good:(

    Call BS, Disney has enough money that if they wanted to dredge the ship up they would. If not Recreate it.

    I doubt it would be a matter of money. Rather time. Building a new ship will take like 5 years. Raising and repairing the Unicorn might take 2 years.

    That's too bad.

    Regadless of the last few movies, The first POTC was a great movie and the Pearl was quite iconic.
