Fortunate son intensifies.
Hey, that was MY joke for the thread, dammit.
There's still opportunity for "Hammertime" by MC Hammer
The idea that an alien would care (or even know) enough about car brands to put a logo on its weapon is so fucking stupid to me lol. Kinda similar in stupidity to Bayverse bots making a point of the car manufacturer’s logo appearing on their chest.
I mean, when its the front of the car its acceptable. These bay haters really have a bee in their bonnet.
Who's to say that's not just how the transformation worked out? Or simply that the designers thought it would be cool? They said as much. What here implies that it's supposed to be a conscious in-universe choice?
That would really be a hilarious slap in the face to VW after they’re okay with their products being associated with war. Bumblebee just about to pound Shatter and she sees the VW logo before she dies.
Let’s think about this. The chest is typically formed by the front of the car. The logos are typically on the front of cars.
Wow. My mind is blown.
At the core of the franchise, the Transformers are robots that turn into cars (and other stuff). It's arguably a bigger part of the brand identity than playing up their alien side. I don't see anything wrong with fun details like this, it just helps tie them to their alternate modes even further (even if it is product placement).
I'm pretty sure there is at least one on-screen transformation where the final step is the logo flipping around to be revealed on the chest. I.E. not already there in the first place.
Yep, dotm bee makes the logo disappear and then it randomly pops out of his chest and rotates into position. Need that $$ after all
I never noticed that when watching DOTM! Good eye!
True-and I also recall the front-end license plate bending and becoming his crotch, LOL!!!
Seems odd to make that many iterations of bees interior for that scene, but I suppose that just shows they cared about the movie.
Travis was hired in March 2, 2017, that drawing is dated March 9, 2017 so its after he was hired
I would love to see, or at least read the script of, the Bayverse cut. The alternate opening lends itself to a pretty interesting character arc for Bumblebee. I really like the movie the way it is and LOVE the opening scene on Cybertron, but I think the alternate cut might actually be more my thing.
Logo didn’t disappear it was always there look at gap in his chest it’s sticking out little bit it’s in black part of it coming out to be shown look closer in gap of his chest in middle of it you can see one side of it
Care to elaborate?
