So this is why we got that horrible helicopter Dropkick toy. All concept art, just like Shatters ugly drone head and Bumblebees stupid wings. The toys got screwed big time.

B-127, Shatter and Dropkick all still have Cybertronian modes that can make up for those awful toys. Actually; Cybertronian BBB toys has a better chancr to manage quality without having any forced earth kibbles.

Why is this posted in the TLK concepts thread? The Bumblebee concepts thread would be more appropriate: The BIG BUMBLEBEE CONCEPT ART THREAD

    EDIT: It got moved.

The doors are still there though—they just don't stick up. Plus, why would you deliberately want to add something that wasn't in the movie? As a collector, you probably want the most accurate representation of the character. That's like taking Bayverse Starscream and randomly throwing on landing gears onto his toy shoulders so it "gives the impression that he turns into something".

3rd party, Hasbro has failed us yet again. You know what you need to do.

To be fair, we still get the impression that he turns into something just by the headlights on his chest. The door wings aren’t stupid (they’ve kinda been a staple on his design for twelve years) but on the toys, they’re inaccurate.

We already, technically, have the Bumblebee Cybertronian designs in toy form. It’s called Siege. ;)

They know we want the Megatron art. That’s why they haven’t released it. They want us to stew and die of curiosity, the bastards.

So this is what Hasbro based the original SS Dropkick figure on. Ya know, after looking at this concept art for the Helicopter Dropkick, it makes me think that the reason the first SS Dropkick was so bad is not only was it not screen accurate to the final CGI model, but it’s not even really that accurate to the concept art either. It’s a shame, because this concept art is actually pretty cool looking.

Kinda sorta not really. Certainly more than the actual Blitzwing I’ll say that.

i dont think its the basis for the ss figure, the inaccurate colors had more to do with being a licensed helicopter, he has the headlight shins seen in later concept art/ finished product and the rotor inaccuracy is due to dropkicks robot kibble uses a modern version of heli

he's still based on concept art just not purely/primarily this one
