RIP in peace old site, 1999-2017
You will be missed
While the site upgrade overall is pretty good, I agree with those that have said that the original home page was better. It had good eyecatch.
Bummed about the PoL going from 180 days to 90 days but the $4 flat shipping more than makes up for that. It also looks like the limit is 10 per item? Havent tried adding 10 and then 10 more and so on though.
Did just that after the site came back up and my previously cancelled MP12+ reappeared on my preorder page.
Got all the way thru the various steps, hit cancel, let it process all the way thru until it said the action was completed. I then went back into my preorders page an hour lated and MP12+ was still there as a preorder.
I liked the simplicity of the old design's item cancellation. As of now, I'm stuck with a previously cancelled order for MP12+.
Update:After a second try, I got that preorder to cancel.
You can set the limit to 10 then add it again one at a time to exceed the pre-set limit.
The "About Us" thing is cool. Reminds me that BBTS doesn't feel like a soulless company like so many retailers. I know everyone will vouch for their impeccable customer service and how they handle everything.
Redesign or not, still my favorite online toy store.
To add items to your check out cart. I wonder if you could add the max of ten, check out, add ten more, check out, and so on. With the quick sell out of their Titans Return boxset exclusive is this another loop hole?
Uh oh. Well, ultimately if my current pile ships I'm still saving overall. Would still prefer to hold out until the TR Boxset arrives.
the old site was MUCH easier to navigate for me.
but it isn't a bad site, the other one is just easier.
I'm almost afraid to see what the aftermarket prices on Siege will be.
I dislike when things I love and am used to change. Intensely. That's my deficit, not BBTS's though lol.
I'll get used to it in time, no doubt.
ETA: Posting from the article page instead of the full thread post editor is still injecting backslashes into posts.
Indeed, I almost miss the days of multiple Widowmakers:
...but that's okay because I can still be salty when someone picks her on Attack.
While we will get used to it, some features are useful, but it was, flat-out, easier to check inventory. Also organizing PO's based on the estimated Month of release makes budgeting easier when you have a physical layout in front of you. Along with PO's being on one page that you can scroll through, that was just better.
Yeah I don't think anyone disagrees that the old preorder filing was superior:
I don't like losing the extra 90
days on the pile of loot. I have a Marvel Legends Cyclops sitting in mine, and if it auto ships before all the summer-arrival pre-orders that I have process, I'm going to be ticked.
wheeee I had cancelled items re-added to my order and owe $2k now and can't cancel anything out of the order, and the stuff that *was* paid isn't marked as paid now, but the payment is still listed.
Well I was going to e-mail them on Monday, more about the Cerberus in my PoL that was cancelled in the old system, but is showing up in the new one. I checked my credit card it wasn't charged, but also it shouldn't physically exist. It was a lone Cerberus. I put it back, waited a day or two till it had a good home, and put in a PO for another one to come in July. The 50 bucks I got back went towards a Sovereign when they were starting to run low. So really its a phantom or something.
Yeah, but they're refunding your entire shipping you've already paid, and when you ship, it'll only be $4. And the other stuff will be $4. Chances are you're still saving money.
Eh, it's alright to me.
