Why would anybody even respond to such a question? Even calling it a question is generous. Questions have answers...this, no answer can satisfy those who ask it. They've abdicated the power of critical thinking to a magical invisible hand and projected that nihilist view onto the populace at large. It's not deep or edgy, it's a worthless non-answer like "X is only worth what somebody else will pay."

The reality is that small shops are jerked around by unscrupulous suppliers, creating both the conditions for this to happen and the temptation to take advantage of loopholes. A market that really did have an all-powerful-all-knowing invisible hand wouldn't be subject to such manipulation. Fighting over and apologizing for the _effects_ just allows the causes to be ignored and perpetuate these unpleasant situations.

 

Actually, could we get back to BBTS updates? Every time I see this thread get updated I get a little hope that maybe wave 4 went up for preorder.

 

Wave 4, you will have to wait till at least the 24th, at least according to the e-mail that TyrantGalvatron received. The Big Bad Toy Store New/Restocked/Shipped/Preorder Items Thread. Actually is there anything on the horizon at the moment? Heck my BMTAS Expression Pack Batman got kicked down to early April, that's the next thing I'm expecting.

And Broadside is preordered. If I can somehow find one at retail before the order ships then I'll cancel it like Prime & Megatron...

And Broadside sold out already, or they listed him too early and pulled the PO. Oh and noticed that they listed PO's for X-Trans not Trailbreaker and not-Hoist

 

That seems odd. As far as I know he's in a case on his own. Usually these don't sell out. But other e-tailers have him up for pre-order so I'm inclined to think they didn't jump the gun. All conjecture though, still..odd

 

Those other e-tailers might have gone with an asian supplier to get the impatient/impulsive/have to have it first types. The pricing was a little higher for a voyager, but not as high as say TCP was. Just that BBTS pulled the pic and have a listed Sold Out versus a Pre-Order sold out. Also the listing cannot be brought up period.

 

Oh! I didn't check there listing again. You may be right then. I remember this happened with Arcee/Chromia I thought they removed the listing entirely though when that happened. Again a few years ago so I'm not entirely sure. I think the early listing theory is probably correct.

My PO is still showing so they will probably honor the PO's that came in so no worries there.

 

They pulled it from the newest PO listing though. I went from that, and that's when I caught the X-trans PO's as well.

They tweeted the link to the broadside preorder (how I heard and got mine), so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a mistake unless on multiple fronts.

 

He is listed as up for preorder... if the listing is taken down does that mean my preorder will be canceled?

 

No. In the past they've honored the preorder.

 

Mine is still listed under my preorders, so I'd have to say no, it won't be cancelled and it'll still be honored.

One thing to say about BBTS, they're pretty good about honoring preorders and the price you preordered the item at.

 

No. It probably just means you'll get him for the $26.99 price instead of the $32.99 price when they relist him at mark-up for the "gotta have it now" crowd.
