DK-24 UPGRADE KIT

I don't normally buy these but this time....

 

It looks like a great kit.....But I'm having trouble justifying a kit that costs as much as the figure. I like what they did here alot....but i cant convince myself to drop another $50 on a $50 figure...especially when there are (likely) 4 more $50 figures coming as well

 

I almost put a hole in my table bashing the pre-order button on that one. That tiny, crappy Wheelie is so great, and now he will get to have knees! And an alt mode! Woot...

I tried to start a game called "Where's Wheelie" but in practice it hasn't worked too well, because with the quality of our cameras and the file size limitations (we can't post 15mb PNGs every time) the game ends up being really tough to beat. So it doesn't move very quickly. It's a fun concept though, so feel free to help energize it if you like Wheelie as much as I do.

You're totally correct that the price is too high, but this is specialty goods for advanced Wheelie nerds like us, haha.

 

That is a beefy upgrade kit. Wild what they did for Wheelie. Surprised they didn't do anything about Grimlock's chest.

 

Loving the Grimlock upgrades, but a little disappointed in the sword not being toy-accurate red. No interest in the Wheelie (Titans Return suffices still) but I'm sure if I ever bought this someone would want it.

 

He definitely needs a wrist articulation upgrade. If a character is meant to hold a sword, their wrist needs to be able to lean forward, or they will always look stupid holding the sword.

I own this figure, even though I've never watched Beast Wars and consider it unwatchable. Beast Megatron is a GREAT character with a talented voice actor that really sold his nature as a narcissist that copied Ancestral Megatron for political reasons. This is a great figure. It's a Leader Class with all its money spend on the figure--you don't see that often. No accessories, just a chonky bastard that you can be afraid of.

There are some chemical degradation concerns regarding the soft rubber bits of this figure. I personally don't think that should stop you from appreciating and enjoying this thing. It's really fun and cool. I've never transformed mine, because in Robot Mode he's so fun I don't feel like I need to (yet).

i have TR wheelie and nonnef's grimlock upgrade that i'm more than happy with already.

 

Looks like BBTS is slowly catching up with TF releases (Kingdom & ss86) to other retailers.

 

I've got it too, but I'm too into this crappy Wheelie to skip the DX9 kit, I think. I have a few months to think about it.

Does anybody have any idea when BBTS, or even any US Retailer for that matter, is getting Dr. Wu's Chatter? I try to be patient when it comes to preorders, but it's been over half a year since I preordered the set from BBTS, and just seeing everyone else in the world getting them is making me feel a little impatient.

TCP has Chatter. That's where I got mine.

 

I am really starting to fall in love with the SG Decepticons. I won't be buying any DLX at this time unless something major changes with my income, but man, just looking at those product images was a pleasure.

 

So has BBTS shipped any more Galvatron's or just that small batch they shipped?

 

I got impatient and hit ship on Galvatron at just the wrong time. Mine hit the bottleneck at FedEx's temporary sorting facility. Eventually FedEx just said it was lost and to call BBTS, I called BBTS and apparently they've been telling a lot of people that but so far every package FedEx has declared 'lost' has made it to the destination before too long.

So if anyone is waiting on a delivery that hasn't updated for several days, that might be it.
