Does bbts have history of getting exclusives / be able to get some stock like blue streak, phantom strike and rachet? Or is there some other place where I can preorder all of these three?

They do, yes, but they tend to be $5+ more (bare minimum) and end up being a good bit more expensive by the time you ship your order. Not to mention, you're also now paying them tax on top of it.

 

Ratchet is likely, seeing as they did the other Walgreens exclusives the past 3 years (brainstorm, clones, wrek-gar). As for bluestreak and Skywarp pack, unsure. However, bluestreak is through Wal-Mart and Skywarp is though Amazon. Both might be available through robot kingdom if you want to try. Hope this helps.

Yeah. After anticipating him since February, watching for almost a month as (it seems) everyone else in the world gets theirs, I almost don't care anymore. Almost.

Watch him get clearanced next year.  

 

I'm ok if they don't get him in until Friday though.

 

I find it intensely galling that BBTS has Unicron up for preorder for $774.99 with a $155.00 non-refundable down payment - not including oversees shipping, for those buyers looking for an option - when there are still over 5,000 slots available at HasLab before this thing is even funded for it's retail $574.99. Are they trying to prey on the stupid? Entrap suckers? Rip off idiots? I don't get it.

 

I'm guessing that 200 dollar mark-up is going to be on the same as the other vendors (hopefully without the down payment). It is more bearable as that's the price to pay for not forking over 575 at the get-go.

 

Read the first and second line:



1) It's only non-refundable if the goal isn't met. If it is then it is non-refundable. Why?

2) BBTS doesn't want to be on the hook for 600+ dollars because someone preorders it from them and then cancels. Or if someone decides "I want them to make this... I'll use bots to buy 5000 of them off BBTS, cancel all the orders save for one!".

3) It clearly states that this is for people who can't directly order. IE people not in the United States since Pulse doesn't ship internationally.

4) Why is it marked up? Because Big Bad Toy Store needs to make their money off this. They aren't going to do it for free. It will be shipped to them and they'll have to repackage it and ship it out to you. That involves the warehouse needing to be paid.

5) On the pulse commiting to buy is also non-refundable. So in fact if you aren't 100% you will be able to buy it then this is your safer bet at it does give you an out.

It's all right there, in big bold print.

 

The $155 will be refunded if it doesn’t meet the 8000. Bbts will back at least as many as they get orders for. This is for people that can’t afford a $600 bill up front. Your basically paying bbts a $155 middleman fee on the promise that you’ll pay $620 when it comes in stock.

 

I also can't imagine what possible hassle there would be if one of the ones BBTS sends out ends up with any issues, so yeah, they're going to need a nice buffer just in case.
