I was at Wal-Mart earlier tonight and I saw the Combaticons wave has been released. I can't buy them all at once so what would be the best order to get each of the Combaticons? I was leaning towards Blast Off as the first one to get?
Honestly all of them have their pros and cons. I wouls say Swindle is the best fire on its own but he isn't amazing. I quite like Brawl even if he does need an ankle. Blast Off is pretty good but his shoulder joints practically suck. Vortex's biggest problem is the propellers attached to his arm in a unpleasant direction (I would have liked them to at least be able to rotate to the side of his arm). And Onslaught has incredibly bad arms and a bad vehicle mode. As individual figures they are decent at best but I guess the order I would recommend them in is: Swindle, Blast Off, Brawl, Vortex, Onslaught.
Not Vortex or Onslaught. Vortex looks awkward as hell in robot mode with the helicopter blades and the combiner hands sticking out of his weird hollow feet and Onslaught's alt mode looks like a mess. I think I'll say Blast Off because he looks the most proportionate and doesn't seem to have hollow parts everywhere you look. Overall Blast Off>Swindle>Brawl>Onslaught>>>Vortex Note I'm ignoring the colors, if I make colors a factor then I think Brawl is the best cause his colors are reasonable compared to most of the others.
Think I'll wait for the Takara versions of these, if only because the metallic colors on those look so pretty...or just skip 'em all together.
Is this a popularity vote because toy quality was Brawl is the worse. He can't even stand on his own w/o balancing one arm up. And Swindle has a bib thing going on... The best one is Vortex. Or Onslaught if you never plan on transforming him.
