for me, it's the forest battle scene in ROTF hands down. That was just pure gold to see prime have his own fight scene against 3. the "i'll take you all on!!!" line sold it.

Forest battle. Hands down.

I would've ranked Optimus v. Sentinel as the best, but the focus kept shifting to Dylan v. Sam, which I found very frustrating.

Prime v. Bonecrusher was too short.

I have two, both from ROTF. The first is the forest battle. I think it was a point in the movie trilogy that showed Optimus and Megatron at their highest-Optimus for taking on all those Decepticons at once, and Megatron for defeating his old enemy. Of course, I was glad whenever they revived Optimus. Which brings me to the second battle at the village and the pyramid. I thought it was awesome, with all the Autobots and Decepticons in a huge brawl. Although it was a bit long, I still enjoyed it, especially when Optimus combined with Jetfire. That was a highlight since he did that in Armada, which is the first series I saw. Sorry that was long, but I loved both of those battles.

Perhaps, from TF1 : Jazz, Ratchet & Ironhide versus Brawl.

The way Jazz slides & transforms into the panning camera frame towards
Brawl, then Ironhides driving into action & transforming while evading brawls shells and firing will cartwheeling. Then Ratchet jumps in, to cut off some Brawl bits : the choreography of that scene was
incredibly dynamic yet smooth.

Very underrated fightscene in general, imo and it showed marvelous use of TRANSFORMATIONS.

 

Tie for the highway and forest scene.

 

Easilly the Forest Battle. It has eveything I could have wished for in a Transformers movie battle. It is also in my opinion the only good thing to come out of both ROTF and DOTM I'm afraid.

I'll give you my favs from each movie...

TF1 - Megatron v. Optimus. Right from when Prime transforms in the city and Megatron spots him, then turns into the alien plane and Prime grabs him and they fly into a building. Good stuff there.

TF2- Forrest scene. Already covered in this thread.

TF3- Optimus taking on an entire street of Cons after being untangled by the Wreckers. Prime unleashes holy hell here. I know they used it in the trailers and commercials, but it still rules and serves as my "Megatron must be stopped. No matter what the cost" type moment for TF3. Except without Prime dying and all.

 

Prime Vs. Sentinel had the best choreography, for sure.

its funny that the battle with jazz, ironhide and ratchet from TF1 is mentioned, i personally liked that because it was a direct homage to the battle between hot rod and blitzwing from transformers: the movie circa 1986 when kup did the same thing to save hot rod and daniel. now personally seeing optimus prime kick ass in the forest battle is my top choice, but sadly i dont see anyone mentioning the bumblebee vs. ravage and rampage fight in ROTF where 'Bee skins ravage like a fish and beats the hell outta rampage. my second personal fave. sorry for the length, had to mention the g1 fight reference tho.

i must also add that seeing prime go ape-shit on all of those cons in the street was pure gold, then beheading megatron and, in a very decepticon type fashion, blowing sentinel primes head off. absolutely priceless.

 

That scene was brilliant screenplay because it uses the diagonal of the screen so well ; Blitzwings angled gun, then Shrapnel who falls into view diagonally, then both Kup and Hot Rod slide down the slope in the same diagonal angle.

This kind of dynamic was mostly prevalent in TF1 imo....
