I totally agree with you, but then when TDKR casted Hardy as Bane I was like he is too short and not right for the part and turned out to be right. What a shit movie to kill a perfect trilogy.

Bane was not the problem with TDKR.

As has been said- Twilight was 12 years ago, and he’s a much better actor than what was seen in Twilight. He’ll be fine as Batman.

Right it was the muffled odd dialect voice he had that was the problem. Oh and the movie had plot holes you could drive a dump truck through.

Don’t be that kind of fan. You’re still riding that hate train, but no one cares about Twilight anymore. It’s done with & everyone has moved on.

You’re acting like those movies personally, literally wounded you, but they’re just a handful of teen angst supernatural movies. They’re not worth getting angry over.

You are perfectly right of course, it's just that I haven't seen him in anything else in the last 12 years, so my gut reaction was Twilight Batman. If that sounds good or bad is entirely subjective.

Oh and I don't think he was bad in Twilight, it's just that all the character traits he portrayed there would, well... Give me nerdrage if applied to Batman. If he can do the whole movie without smiling I will be happy :)

Not me. I hate miserable Batman. I like the more balanced Batman from before Frank Miller put his permanent stink on the character. Even after Miller, some of the better Batman writers going into the 1990s got this right, like Alan Grant. Driven, but still human with a life. Lots of people lose someone early in life. They get over it and move on. Batman's had at least 20 years, so I don't find it believable writing to have him still be miserable every single day so much time later.

I'm not really talking about the character, I just don't want to see Robert Pattinson smiling.

I wouldn't worry. A couple weeks of taking shit from Batman fans on twitter and he may never smile again.

whoever they put in the costume won't mean a damn if they can't also get a competent writer attached to pull the story together.

If the rumors about including a Robin are true, then maybe we will get a Batman that can find a bit of balance. Maybe. Or, they could have Robin be the lighter character to balance out the constantly brooding Batman...

Not likely... most fangirls whi used to like Twilight have long moved on and don't want to even be associated with it anymore... because they're no longer angst ridden teens trying to be edgelords. I don't even think a Twilight fandom still exists outside of some weird dark corner of Tumblr.

Probably about the same number of people as still dress up like the aliens in Avatar.

He’s actually gone on to do some really interesting movies, and he’s a good actor. Give some a look if you’re stuck for something to watch.
