Affleck's Batman is awesome!

 

hey guys, remember how everyone say Ben Affleck would suck at being Batman?...

 

Glad to hear Ben's directing it.

Remember when everyone said Heath Ledger would suck as The Joker?...

 

Best news I heard about this mess of a franchise.

 

Remember when everyone said Michael Keaton, et al, would suck as Batman?

 

Well, physically how would I? I wasn't even present at that specific time to know, but, on the contrary I heard it in some podcast.

 

LOL may be the only thing that saves DC from total self destruction, is Affleck.

 

Awesome! He was the only good thing in BVS.
Will be the only DCCU movie I'll catch going forward.

 

Oh yeah now we're talking.  

Remember when everyone said Jessie Eisenberg would suck as Lex Luthor.......OH WAIT!

But really I knew Ben was a good fit since Day One. It's Jessie who I could never warm up to.

 

It's funny to hear that apparently the only good thing to come out of Bat V Sup was in fact Ben's roll as Bat-ffleck.

Maybe the solo Bat film will do better. Although there's always been something odd to me about the prospect of movies being directed by the staring lead.

 

I still think he's overrated honestly. Most of his performances just feel so bland, and his movies are never as good as they are rated.

 

It needs Red Hood.

 

I thought this was green lighted a long time ago, but nice to hear the official announcement. I love all of Affleck's directed movies, so I can't wait to see what he can do with Batman.

 

i'm fine with them doing red hood, but i'd really fucking love if they cast a kid able to do Damien Wayne.

Can you imagine a time traveller going back to when the news that Affleck would be Batman broke, and the time traveller says "Actually Batfleck was widely regarded as the best thing in it"?

Yet here we are, and it's true.

Looking forward to a hopefully smaller/simpler Batman movie.

 

Affleck did the same thing with Argo..which won Best Picture

 

Affleck can pull a hat trick at the Oscars (Picture, Director, Actor). Unlikely to win all, but it would be awesome if nominated for all three.
