So apparently Black Panther will be voiced by the VA who did Kratos! That’s actually pretty cool.

Finished Future Imperfect and it was...fine. Nothing crazy good, nothing terrible. Kinda more of the same, which is problematic when you’ve grown tired of the same layout. Ironically, the Black Panther tease was more interesting than this’ll the Hawkeye DLC. I really don’t like how quick it ended, but I guess it served its purpose.

Also, I’m kinda annoyed how they handled his skins. I get that they do micro-transactions, but the Old Man Hawkeye skin isn’t unlockable through completing the story, the challenge card, or leveling him up to level 50. Considering he’s in the story, that seems like a rude move.

Anyone play the War for Wakanda expansion? Pretty fun, and Black Panther is definitely someone I’ll invest time into, but I don’t see this update saving the game in the public’s eye.

Seems pretty slow in here but I just got it in last month or so and have been playing. Currently doing Black Panther at 154 / champion 152.

Finished his hero card. Not much to do beyond the weekly exotic farming which I'm done with by end of drop day.

Still having issues with Klaue raid as I don't have a team with mics. Finished it once with some auto matched pros.

So I just got this game (was on sale for $16 on steam). I don't see much in the way of DLC for it, are the expansions free/automatically included in the base game (forgive the ignorance, I'm pretty much coming into this game blind)

End of the road. Will still be able to play but don't expect any more dlc or those promised avengers.

All paid outfits will be made free. Sorry if you paid for them. No refunds!

I'm surprised it lasted this long. This game will be important to me; I'm never pre-ordering a game again in this modern age of gaming. I paid $74.14 all said to get the Deluxe Edition pre-ordered through Amazon. It was nothing but trouble and eventually all my friends both online and in real life got too frustrated and quit. I had periods where I didn't play because of core features being broken, but stuck around on and off through Black Panther, but quit before the "Raid" came out; I uninstalled it and hadn't paid any attention to it after that.

After the 31st, I'll probably pop back on and see what the state of the game is and how it plays on my new X as opposed to the One, but otherwise, lesson learned. I'm just glad I never paid for a cosmetic.

I have to say for all the complaining one could argue even if it was not everyone's cup of tea this could be considered a success, enough people played to warrant dlc that was free, only paid for cosmetics (which I wouldn't do but it wasn't a pay to win situation so I honestly give it a plus for that.) and tried to improve/expand things through its development and for the foreseeable future not shutting down servers and giving all the cosmetics free at the end of the development cycle. Was it the best game? No, and I feel if this was more single player minded like Gotg was, this would of been much better received cause it had some interesting ideas/character moments that I enjoyed. I would be cool with a sequel if it ditched all the always online crap and just tightly focused on a single player experience. There was a potentially great game here just buried in a lot of stuff that was not needed. But, that's just my 2 cents on the whole thing.

Trouble I had for the outfits is it was alot of times lazy color swaps. Avengers has a huge history with outfits. Ironman alone had tons and most were color swaps.

Story wasn't a fan of "cap is dead or is he and avengers are wanted". Wanted a avengers in their prime adventure at the mansion or movie base with cool unlocks like collecting maybe art of all members even ones not in the game as something post story to do. Ms marvel i really liked in the game and to me best part was the avengers day at the start. No spider-man like city hub for post story adventures to run around in also so all these heroes are stuck in tiny base hubs with nothing to do.

Online was blah and where were all the classic avengers bad guys? Should have dumped online missions and been a story game with great hub like spider-man.

This game has some much it could have been, and they tripped at the final results.

With that said did enjoy some story parts and again loved ms marvel in the game.

From the P.O.V. of a fighting game fan, can't help getting flashbacks of what happened to "Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite". "Infinite" it sure wasn't.

When they revealed and originally announced the game, they stated that they wouldn't have loot boxes and that all future content additions (DLC) would be free, just cosmetics and alternative animations would be a paid for category. There was no successful enough that DLC became free. Free DLC was a major selling point in the wake of the Loot Box controversies in the industry at the time.

Which is a large part of why the game was a disaster. Somewhere along the development of the game, an executive made the decision that instead of the solo game they were making, it should be a multiplayer co-op live service game "like Destiny" because they make money not just at release, but all the time with microtransactions, which is the start of the major failures. Not only did they then have to re-engineer the game from a solo experience to multiplayer, but they also were using their own proprietary game engine, which had no multiplayer capacity, so they had to rewrite the game engine as they were retooling the game. They had to delay the game because accomplishing both was too hard to do within the original time frame. Then the pandemic hit and since Crystal Dynamics didn't ensure quality internet capabilities for their employees, they couldn't communicate well between each other as they continued to develop the game, so when it launched, it didn't work because nothing had been tuned to work well together along with some major miscommunications. One of the best examples of this was at launch the flying sniper bots would shoot tracker bolts; you had to dodge to avoid being hit. But the dodge team had a slow-motion effect to make it look cool when you well timed a dodge; but instead of slowing the game down, it slowed the character only. So, with three sniper bots spawned in, you dodge the first shot, you could watch in slow-mo as the other two shots killed your character.

With the problems of trying to bend an engine to do multiplayer when it was never designed to do so, the problems only multiplied from there. The Cloning Labs was supposed to launch the same month as the game (and people like myself got gear that had perks for when in a cloning lab, but it didn't release until recently, two+ years later because of multiplayer coding issues. On top of that, for a game that was going to live on future content drops and promised "Content would come out so fast you'd never have nothing to do", Crystal Dynamics figured that after their entire team finished the game, a skeleton crew could handle all of that. So now after the game launched, there were essentially two teams of bug fixers, and they didn't communicate, so one patch from team A would fix a broken issue, the patch from team B would unfix the issue as they weren't using those fixes when they fixed what they were tasked with and so forth. Most of the reason I would quit playing is when those roll-outs would break other game features, such as entire categories of gear perks. In a looter game where you want to build your character to have good gear perks to be powerful, logging in after a patch and finding 90+% of them don't work anymore killed interest in the game for myself and lots of others. Sometimes it would take 3+ patches to get them to all work again. Additionally there were issues with Multiplayer where the coding was so bad, if a low level character got into your party, your account would be nerfed. All of your characters would be hard set to the lower level players damage level, even after they quit, even after you shut the game down, suddenly you'd do no damage to the high level enemies the game knows your level is. Fixes ranged from uninstalling the game and re-installing it to completely unplugging the console and waiting for a reset to happen and then load fresh from the cloud. That is for the people who didn't have their console bricked, which 2 updates along the way to Black Panther's release could cause.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg of their multitude of failures.
