He just found out Tony didn't throw out his collection of Beanie Babies. He was gone for months/years. Tony could have just thrown them out thinking he was dead. Tears of joy.
Believe that's the MCU Extremis Suit, because it states that suit transforms around Tony from his clothes, so I'm thinking that's the compact form of it. Its also above his shirt, not beneath it, like usual.
or maybe he never got the arc removed in the first place ... maybe he was replaced by a skrull before ironman 3 and that is the original tony
I don't remember that he had his arc reactor removed at all? If that happened, then which movie scene have I forgotten?
It's interesting, because most people's answer to this will be "at the end of Iron Man 3". The thing is, though, we don't actually see them remove the reactor - we just see them pulling out all the shrapnel from the encasing hole. So for all we know, because it's never been shown/confirmed otherwise, he simply doesn't need the reactor to keep him alive anymore, but could very well still have/use one for all of his suits. Anyway, assuming he DID have it all removed and put back to normal at the end of of IM3, these new pictures show that it's on the outside of his chest now. Could be nothing more than an alternate version he wears for the same reasons: to power his suits.
This is what I'm thinking. He had just a hand/watch on as protection in Civil War. I would love it if he had just had the suit cut up unto segments that could unfold and make a fly on the fly. Theres also the possibility that theres some time manipulation going on here as well. Maybe it's a different type of reactor thats just bigger.
of course it was at the end of ironman ... he only had the reactor on the chest to power the magnet that stopped the shrapnels from killing him ... without them there is no reason to have the reactor ... he didn´t leven liked used it ... he just had it to survive ... it´s obvious he would take it off and sure enought you don´t see it in his chest in age of ultron at all
