Well, I just came from watching both Justice League and Avengers: EMH, and I must say that both shows rock! The characters are likeable, the story arcs were great and the seasons were all around enjoyable. So, here is a question for all of you:

Which show, in your opinion, had the better first season? The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes? Or the Justice League?

Both are amazing shows but I have almost worn out my JLA dvds so I have to go JLA.
JLA wins immediately because of the long term attachment. It also plays out as multiple 2 or 3 part series which makes it easier to enjoy.

Avengers EMH is probably one of the best seasons on TV BUT IIRC, you need to watch the entire series to truly enjoy it.

So because of Nastolgia and the way the season plays out JLA wins for me. But really do yourself a favor and watch both.

p.s. Young Justice is shaping out to take that best season of a cartoon spot.

    Avengers.

The Justice League was made after years and years of continuity. Avengers had to create their own universe up even though they did use Wolverine and the X-Men for influence on the backstory.

Both shows are great, but Justice League for me. Even though the show started to get shitty after a while.

Why does it have to be a contest. They both have their high points.

idk, justice league didn't really have that good of a first season. and i never got hooked into avengers' first season either. how ever, justice league got much better with the seasons. and i suspect avengers will too.

but at this point, avengers has one thing it's lacking. with the justice league, they already established two of the main characters with multiple seasons of shows.

avengers has to start from scratch to introduce all their characters.

but over all, i suspect avengers will become just as good, if not better show then the justice league.

even though i loved justice league, i think from the few episodes i have watched, though it is mainly due to the fact that comcast isn't putting many of the episodes the on demand menu. and it is the only way i really watch shows these days. but if they did, i know i would watch them all.

i loved the batman animated series, but justice league never really hooked me in the first season, i didn't like an episode until the joker showed up.

with superman, i only liked the episodes that had darkseid in it. other then that the superman series never really interested me. but darkseid did!

i do think justice league is a great series, and i think the avengers will become a great series.

so i think they're about the same quality of first seasons. neither really hooked me yet. but i suspect i will be hooked by season 2, like i was with justice league!

Justice League, yes, it had the advantage of two main characters having some established animated backstories already, but they didn't touch upon them until well into the series already. Avengers, well I felt, they could have done a better job introducing the character backstories, the pacing just felt really strange. It felt like they did the webisodes to show randomly and just shoved them together as episodes because they already made them.
