Thisiswherethefunbegins.jpg It was still a month, we used to be Daily Argentenocomics #997: Natural Selection Notes: God, I bought that replacement Shockwave so long ago thinking the Arc will be wrapped up soon. Jesus I actually can't remember why Rippersnapper was lying down on the ground there. I feel like it was a joke but it was probably terrible. Remember when these guys were a South Park Parody. Yeah neither did I Went to Disney in the time between. Pandora's pretty darn neato. Lines are awful though.
Damn straight Argentenocomics #998: Waropod Notes: Wow, 59 panels. This page is probably the longest on the entire forum. Hopefully the page will tick over before 1000. THAT one's a dozy I have to admit, the Bucephalus armor came out pretty well despite being made up of textures I found on google copied and pasted. Looking back on it, the Predaking dialogue's kinda clunky. I might change it later but it's 12:40 AM and I can't be assed. 8 down, 2 to go.
Argentenocomics #999: Countdown to Extinction Notes: Whoops, missed the 6th anniversary. *Party noises* Predaking was going to have some more lines at the end, but I didn't think it worked so I kept it simple. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom looks neato One more to go...
Breaking the page here because ho-boy is this a big one. You'll know when you see it. NVM it didn't work lol
When I first started this comic, it was just a side project. A place to practice and mess with comic making while the real star of the show, Heart of Carnage, was being crafted. Well that thing ended up getting only seven comics and we've exceeded that by around 14286%, so I guess that shows where the priorities landed. What started as a side story that was meant to be fun and games while the serious stuff happened elsewhere turned into a mix of comedy and storytelling, all leading up to it's end. Well, here it is. Nearly 6 months later, and a few missed deadlines, we finally made it. Comic #1000. I have to admit, it was a pain to work on, but we made it. A culmination of a comic growing up with me and plots started when I was still in middle school, and I'm proud to see it change with me. But it's time to move on. As much as I loved this comic, I just don't find the joy in it I once saw, back when it was just a side project after school, finished late at night with minimal effects and made in MS paint of all things. Now it's a side project that takes hours of work to complete, working with frustrating systems with parts from the past literally dying in my hands. So here we go, a dead stop at #1000, a fitting number. Back when I started, it was quite the landmark, and I think that me from 2011 would be proud to see it go that far, even if it didn't carry the same impact now. But deep down, it still matters to me. So for those who still with me, I thank you for a hell of a ride, all of the guys from back in the day, and even the newcomers I've gathered along the way. And to those of you just arriving, have a happy/merry ThanksgivingChristmasNew YearsMLK DayValentines DaySt. Patrick's DayApril FoolsJWE Release day4th of July...French Fry day...eh that works I guess. Maybe we'll do this again some time. Wouldn't that be swell? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU THOUGHT I WAS DONE WITH THIS? I'M KEEPING THIS TRAIN ROLLING TILL I DROP DEAD! SEE YOU ALL FOR SEASON 2 BITCHES! IN TEN YEARS! ...Ok maybe not that long.
agreed to both of these. but still, most of the time, when a Nemesis repaint shows up, it tends to mean shit's getting real
Argentenocomics #1001: The New Millennium Notes: So I should probably explain why I disappeared for, what, six months? Honestly, there were a lot of various excuses I could explain but for the most part, I was really not having fun working on those last 10 comics. It was the 1000th comic, so I had to make it big and extravagant, and I had planned out the fight for a while, but honestly, it was hard getting the enthusiasm to work on those last few comics. Granted, I'm proud how they came out, but I think it's time to take a break from that. Don't worry, there will still be the big adventures and grand explorations, but I think I need to have a few comics just getting back into the swing of things. Doing that big group photo for #1000 made me realize how many characters I have at this point, most of which I haven't really done anything with. So this next few 100 or so comics will be a bit more slice of life than save the world, if you catch my drift. Also as you probably figured out from last comic, I'm starting to use SFM models and maps for the comics. A bit less flexible than Minecraft, that's for certain but on the plus side, I don't have to use Minecraft. This also grants me the use of models from The Isle, Ark, and Primal Carnage for my mandatory dinosaurs. Most importantly, I CAN FINALLY USE A BRACHIOSAURUS THAT HAS AN ARTICULATED NECK!
OK let's not get too crazy here Argentenocomics #1002: Repetition Notes: Sadly, my old camera that has been with us since #61, with nearly 6 years of service has officially been retired. It's been a hell of a journey for the old girl, but at this point it's best to move on. It's been having problems for a while (I couldn't even use the menu on it to change the color shifting I used to make night not look godawful) but now it's breaking in new and weird ways. Right now I'm using my Iphone camera, and it's doing pretty well right now but only time will tell. Also new, I finally have a camera stand! Nearly 7 years and for the most part all of the camera work has been handheld, but this new stand is working great so far. Shots like the Lockdown and Blackout shots from the bonus comic look far better because of it, and I'm glad to bring it aboard.
all i'm saying is that it kinda expands the amount of available characters to near-infinite levels. hell, if you wanted to, you could do another Argentenoboy does Hearthstone Arc
Yeah but how am I going to justify spending so much on toys then? This is already a flimsy excuse. Also, probably not doing another HS arc, the first one was back when Nax was still new, I am way too far behind to make it somewhat relevant. Plus none of them fit the Halloween theming like Nax did with the exception of Frozen Throne maybe. And doing an arc like that outside of Halloween doesn't really fit what I want to do with the comic going forward so it looks like a no bueno Argentenocomics #1003: Hate to Say Goodbye Notes: Working with SFM compared to using Nifskope is weird. They're both similar tools but while Nifskope is a lot more precise, there's a lot more feedback from SFM. Not sure which I prefer yet, but I'll probably figure out soon enough The correct interpretation of the first panel is that the Brachiosaurs are fanboying/fangirling over Bucephalus because of the Abominus fight. You can choose to interpret it differently, but you'd be going against canon, and nobody wants to do that.
