    This thread is for loving and appreciation animals it doesn't matter what animal it is it can go here

    The satanic leaf-tailed gekco yes that is its real name. pretty cool looking creature.

    Honestly I don't have a favorite when it comes to the animal kingdom overall (aside from cats). But, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this bug I saw a few months ago.

    It's definitely not a bee, but it kind of looks like a fly. Any entomologists here? :lol

    Some type of bee fly. There are a number of fly species which mimic bees and wasps in color and appearance.

    As for the vote...I've always been partial to Birds so I'm obviously voting Birds...from Owls to Cactus Wrens to Sandhill Cranes
    To Great Blue Herons to Stellars Jay's I've always loved and found an intrest in birds

    Yeah so I asked DEC in my state (since it was spotted in a public park) and apparently it is a great egret. And it was spotted in.....drumroll........
    New York City!

    Yeah, you wouldn't expect it. I was surprised. It was only there because it was over the summer, and New York / Connecticut / New Jersey is the farthest it goes all year.
