So my Autobot Alliance Two Pack of Prowl and Ironhide just got delivered. It not only was delivered in the original shipping box but was also inside of an Amazon box combined with other orders. I want to open it but the box is pristine making me think if I had it AFA graded I could have the only 10.

 

Opened my ER Smokescreen today. No bubble mailer from Amazon this time! Instead he came in a mailer that resembles two paper grocery bags layered one on the other with what some joker considered "cushioning" in between. Little round pieces of some white material that is probably foam but makes me think of really, really cheap toilet paper - the kind the disintegrates if you so much as look at it. I suppose I should be glad they didn't just slap a label on the retail box.

Much to my surprise, Smokey was himself was okay. The Amazon rep I chatted with gave me discount, but didn't answer when I asked if there was any way to keep this from happening again. I was in a hurry so I didn't press the point, and I'm pretty sure the answer would have been no anyway.

 

This is why I don't like to use Amazon outside of exclusives. They absolutely destroy the boxes. The thing I got from them with an Airwave with the box being held together by the tape it came with.

 

I always ask for a replacement receiving box with these conditions... Guess I miss lots of discounts... I can’t believe that I once did manage to get a perfect Siege Shockwave from Amazon.

 

So my Prowl/Ironhide set is possibly lost per Amazon. It left their shipping center on the 11th (was lost in the fulfillment center for a while supposedly) but has not been received by the Postal Service. So I put an in stock alert on and will keep that order going for a while but I’m guessing I won’t get it via Amazon. Anyone have experience here with lost Amazon packages?

 

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I think I’m out of luck but I’ll leave it out there for a little while longer. My wife has had experiences where lost items pop up unexpectedly. Have to see if anyone on the board has a pair for sale.

 

Had an item list, they refunded me, 3 months later (no exaggerating, honest!) It just turned up on my doorstop. Still not tracking on Amazon, they said to just keep it and enjoy as three months was ridiculous  

Weirdest was having to convince a CS agent that I didn't need a refund because despite 5heir system showing my item lost I had it in my hands! I think they were just convinced they misunderstood me.

 

Autobot clones shipped. Supposed to arrive tomorrow. Let's see how banged up the package is.

 

Yeah I’m going to ride it out for a little while. See what I hear back from customer service in a few days. It’s just frustrating but it’s just toys so not a terribly important thing.
