I'm new to the collecting scene, are Transformers generally treated like movies or videogames where they have a set release date known well in advance, and that's the day they'll be available? Or is it more of a general release window and they're just available when they're available? I assumed it would be the latter. When I ordered Mirage 2 months ago from Walmart, it said October and it still says that.

 

Bit of a mixed bag and varies store to store. At retail, there isn't really a release date. Online, exclusives tend to have a relatively reliable release date, but general release figures tend to fall more within a range. Hasbro has been pretty good this year about the releases, though - it's a good time to start collecting!

I just received an e-mail that Impactor and Mirage will arrive this weekend.

 

Just got an email the Barricade I ordered Monday will be arriving Fri or Sat. Nothing on mirage and impactor from July yet though...

 

WARNING: I received the 1-step version in the mail today. No idea if this was a one-off mistake or if all of these are in error, but just FYI.

*sigh* Between this, my several other "October 1st" preorders this week on Amazon and Walmart, and the Pulse Seacon debacle, this week has me convinced that all the "The AI will take over the wuuurldd in 10 years" stuff is just bunk. They'll conquer like one street before they have a fatal error and shut down.

Impactor has shipped and should be arriving tomorrow. Mirage has been pushed back to October ninth. Progress?

 

Anyone else not seeing prices get updated for saved items? It’s been about three days for me, and prices ARE changing, but I’m not getting the messages that they have changed when I check my cart.

I still have no communications regarding Mirage. Getting antsy here. I originally cancelled my Pulse order because Amazon's was releasing sooner. Now I wish I hadn't done that and Pulse is all sold out.

 

Do you have Amazon Prime? They seem to be fulfilling those folks first.

 

I don't. I am hoping I hear something soon and am just trying to stay patient since it's only 10/2 and supposedly (according to Pulse) Mirage is supposed to release on 10/1.

 

Mirage hasn't released. Or Thundercracker. Or Smokescreen. Omega has started shipping, but as far as the other Pulse October releases, they seem to be behind. I wouldn't freak out about it if I were you. I'm sure it says "sold out" because they haven't gotten their stock in yet, and it's no longer available for pre-order because the "release date" has already lapsed. I'm sure they'll have a surplus once the order comes in and they start filling pre-orders. But HP has definitely not beaten Amazon's release on this one yet.

 

Street date is 10/6 on TC at Targets and Target.com.  

 

You are right... I ordered Selects Smokescreen and have not seen any movement on that order either. Luckily I got my Siege Thundercracker on Amazon much earlier than HP's scheduled release.

I was never worried about missing out on Mirage... he doesn't seem like the type of character to be popular enough to constantly sell out and never be spotted in the wild. It's just Amazon originally had a 9/1 release date and it feels like it's been forever without an order update.

 

So my Barricade arrived yesterday in a white envelope, and just like the Thundercracker I received last month in another envelope, the box was pristine.

That's two for two Amazon...keep it up please.  

 

It seems like theses siege releases are getting worse after each wave. How does amazon never have enough product to fulfill these orders. Hasbro seriously needs to fix how they release product.
