Amazon Warehouse had a Dead End that's supposedly like new and in original packaging for $28 so I bite the bullet and bought it. Wave 3 never stocked anywhere under an hour away from me, and he's more than that the few places he's in stock, especially once you factor in shipping.

I just hope it'll actually be him, unbroken.

And in my experience these deluxes can be had for $15, 2 weeks after release. YMMV however. Most average $17-24 in Amazon warehouse. I got SS Last Knight Hotrod for $17 shipped recently. Box was slightly crushed, but unless you collect MISB, doesn't matter. He wasn't a priortiy for me either since I don't collect Bayverse shit. But I liked the alt mode. With Hasbro raising prices and the pending recession, only makes sense. All you need 2 weeks or less of patience. But you do you.

It kind of changes the pattern for commanders. Usually, there would be leftovers after the holiday...in the case of Rodimus, being available all the way through the coming year. Even Jetfire hung around a little bit before the next Commander came out.

 

Honestly I did the same thing with all of the Stunticons not named Dragstrip.

They're just not worth the going retail rate for me, and if I can't get them with a good discount, then I won't be bothering with them even though they would really help fill out my season two shelf.

 

That's how to play it. I think FOMO gets to most of us. I finally had to delete the Target exclusive micromaster box set that I had kept on my Amazon list the other day when I realized that if I didn't want to buy it at, what $50 or 60, why do I want to buy it at $200? It's not like they are that important to begin with. I think the days of above MSRP is over for me.

 

I'm sure I'll regret my decision if other combiners start being made, unless of course they're just as disappointing to me as the Stunticons are.

 

Just got an email that my core class Sludge will be delivered by 1/11 now. My slug/slag came this past Wednesday. Also just saw Core Rumble listed at normal retail price on Amazon vs the $30ish they've been listing him at.

 

I have Drag Strip and Wildrider. Dead End is on preorder. Breakdown will be widely available in the next few months being in a wave 1. Honestly, Motormaster was low priority since I have the CW Stunticons and I needed to concentrate on gifts for the fam. But I thought he might be at least available for retail after Christmas, especially once I got gift cards. Never dreamed I'd have to resort to Amazon Japan. Oh well...I guess it'll be neat to have the Japanese packaging for once.

 

Most of my Legacy Evo stuff is coming wednesday, Leo Prime, Hot Shot and Needle Nose. CANT WAIT to have Leo Prime in hand.
