I saw all the Legacy figs up for preorder except Dragstrip

I completely forgot about the Golden Disk Terrorsaur I pre ordered months ago, it says “arriving March 7”
I’ve never preordered from Amazon, are their dates generally right?

 

Not reliably, but usually not arriving later. I might get items with hard dates a few days early.

If they delay or move it up, they're also usually inclined to change the date. If it is delayed, though, sometimes they won't update until the end of the day they tell you it is arriving.

That will be frustrating. I ordered it back in October.

correct. I order a ton of things from Amazon. I never had any issues with them cancelling preorders unlike Walmart and Target. I heard lots of people had their Coneheads, Ironhide/prowl, or Ratchet/lifeline preorders canceled by Amazon but I got in all 3 sets. This was right during the middle of the pandemic and so far I haven’t heard of any other cancellations. The people who had those box sets canceled are still rightfully pissed since those were Amazon exclusives and the aftermarket prices on them are high.

 

Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. The date may keep changing until it's finally correct.  

 

Yeah I was one of those ppl and mad AF! I did preorder about a month after it orders open tho. I finally got conehead 2 pack for retail from another place but never saw the car sets again for a decent price.

But since then, no preorders have been canceled. I think they just oversold their preorders then.

 

They either oversold their preorders, were a victim of factory shortages due to the pandemic shut down, or some of their orders ended up in the ocean. Amazon is generally much better about keeping preorders than Target and Wal-Mart.

 

Yep, and Amazon and/or Hasbro really should do something to make those sets available again. I know we have Ironhide and Ratchet coming in SS86, but they'll still be without Prowl, Ramjet, and Dirge. But that was a terrible confluence of the pandemic and the surge in G1 collectors, and is far from typical of Amazon. Even exclusive sets that skyrocketed in value like Greenlight and Siege Skywarp were available to anyone for months after their release. We have no reason to think Amazon will cancel preorders in the future.

 

According to Jtprime17 some wholesalers have started taking orders for the Ratchet/Lifeline set. That one looks to be getting a second release at least. Hopefully that means Dirge/Ramjet and Ironhide/Prowl will be following suit.

 

Yeah having those canceled sets, I can say they all are fantastic and I hope all of them get another run!

 

It's happened a few of my Marvel Legend pre-orders.

 

It keeps us on our toes.

 

oh hell yeah, that makes me excited being that is the one set I regretted not getting.
