It's been sold out at Pulse since the listing went up a while back. IIRC, it sold out in well under 30 minutes.

 

Yeah. Apparently there's a cardboard shortage. And, Amazon likes to ship shit in envelopes to reduce shipping costs. The past 2 figures I got from them, the packaging were fucked. I'm not a MISB guy but I could have waited for fucked up box sale and paid cheaper from Amazon warehouse. Mine has yet to ship but I did go back and select ship as gift so don't know if they'll use a box but I doubt it. The ship in box option is now missing during checkout.

Luckily Macy's had both in stock on sale. I returned got replacements from Macy's who ships in real boxes.

 

For what it's worth I recently did the "this is a gift" option for a large Nerf blaster, and they wound up putting it in a huge shipping box. I did it because I was hearing reports from others that Amazon was slapping a shipping label directly on the box and sending it out. Wasn't sure it would work because it only says that a gift receipt would be included. Didn't say anything about another box. Guess I got lucky.

 

That's how my order was placed. I'm honestly amazed the "note" and the gift receipt were still in the brown paper envelope. It was bad enough when they switched to using the plastic bubble wrap mailers but, the brown paper envelopes are beyond absurd as there is absolutely no protection during the logistics chain. At least the bubble wrap envelopes had a chance of protection during transit (SS86 Wreck-Gar was the last mangled item I received via one of those). I'll just shop elsewhere as this type of logistics removes any and all convenience since it requires going by a Whole Foods to drop the return off (UPS won't ship until the bins are full and Amazon finally received one of the 4K TFTM86 copies I dropped off over two months ago). I would probably be a lot less agitated if they could have done an exchange but they don't have any and allow third party sellers to price gouge at $65+ so, I'm beyond done with Amazon at this point (it's been a long time coming).

 

Good news: My Tigatron shipped out today.

Bad news:It arrives Thursday when I'm at the hospital having foot reconstructive surgery, and won't even be home until late morning/early afternoon on Friday...

I really hope the package doesn't wander off when I'm not home.

 

That's how life is sometimes, maximum suckage. Hope your surgery turns out a-ok tho.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about it though. I have other medical issues that will make this surgery more....difficult, but if I don't do it I won't be able to walk much longer, so to try to keep my job (which is on my feet 40 hours a week), I need to try to get this fixed and hope for the best. 

So to take my mind off things I'm buying toys I don't need.

I know this is the Amazon thread, but just wanted to double check… you mean Amazon Dec 8, not Hasbro Pulse Dec 8 right?

My Amazon says March 8, but I only ordered it on recent days and cancelled my Pulse one.

 

Already talked to my neighbor about it and he's gonna hold it for me if it doesn't go into one of our storage containers when delivered.

yes, Amazon, December 8th delivery for golden disc jackpot & ranger/puffer..

 

Awwww...mine still says March.

 

^Mine updated to say the release date is Dec 1, 2021, but the arrival date still says March 2022.

 

Jackpot now says Dec 1 release date on the Amazon product page, as does Puffer/Road Ranger.

But my orders still say arriving ~March 2022.

Terrorsaur and Mutant Tigatron still says March 1, 2022. Terrorsaur extinct/sold out.

I'm guessing it's an error and they won't actually be released on Dec 1.

 

Huffy bois just updated to Friday delivery.

 

If so we'll be getting the Pipes repaint before Pipes.
