Yes, people have been getting their product off the backdoor links. So it is safe. It's amazon, it's safe.

The worst that happens, they cancel the order.

I think what happened here is that Amazon jumped the gun listing these before the 22nd and some other companies complained to Hasbro, and Hasbro reminded them to take the listings down.

So those links will be back on the 22nd. That's just my theory anyway.

Ordered Quickslinger 2 days ago from the cached link and got it today!

 

I will say, Amazon went above and beyond this time. Both were pristine packages, packed well and shipped very fast, even with Parcel Select service through the postal service. I wasn't sure it was going to make it here on time, looking at the tracking info, but I was wrong. It not only got here on time, but at the last minute, even. It was crazy how fast they moved stuff.

One downside to Hasbro's strategy with these figures (and their plans for future releases in this method)...you can't see what you're actually buying. You have official images and placeholders, but you don't know what you are actually getting.

Some people are extremists when it comes to perfect QC and even the slightest mistake will make them return an item for an exchange or a refund. I'm not going to bitch about my Slingshot, but the knick in his hip would drive someone else batshit crazy. Even the hips are painted black, like his hands, instead of being molded in black plastic. There's a notch on his hip, cut with some kind of blade at the factory, and the white plastic underneath just sticks out like a sore thumb. I can easily paint it away and will do so, but it did get me thinking that a system like this will probably end up pissing off a lot of stores because picky people will keep returning until they're satisfied and happy.

It's one thing when a place like Amazon botches shipping like they did with Titan Metroplex and Platinum Predaking, and they had to keep doing it over and over until they got it right and then sold off the busted up ones in their Warehouse Deals program. (Saved me a ton, thanks anal retentive among us!)

But a figure with a flaw from the factory and it's something like paint? Amazon will probably work with you, but Walmart.com? TRU? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure TRU will say in their fanciest politically correct business oriented way that you can go fornicate yourself with extreme force and prejudice.

If enough stores complain, Hasbro may scrap this program altogether and that doesn't help us. Because of these case assortments of just Wildrider and Slingshot, we were able to get them, but if they go back to assorted cases like Walmart (B&M) have to deal with, we'll be back to getting short changed.

 

Got the deluxe Protectobots in the mail today.  

 

So anyone who ordered via the *ahem* back door.....did they arrive already and were in fact the correct ones?

Mine's shipped, but I'm still worried I'm going to get a surprise..

 

Ordered mine last friday got them two days later on sunday via amazon prime. They were the correct figures - and i ordered via the backdoor links. Packed well, too.

 

I'm trying to order both but can't get quickslinger up? Can somebody post a link?

 

The ones I order were right.

I've been having that problem for at least a day now too.

 

Quickslinger's not workin' for me, either.

 

Well my Brake-neck is finally listed as shipping today. Kind of relieved that they didn't cancel it and just held it until Friday.

 

I know I am chomping at the bit for Ultra Magnus to show up.

FWIW if you ordered the figures before you should be able to reorder by reviewing your previous orders and selecting "Buy it again". This also allows you to add them to your cart despite the product pages being down. You're also able to ship them to others, including using prime shipping. I ordered a pair for ServO yesterday using my prime shipping.

That being said, it looks like Quickslinger isn't working because he is truly OOS. It tells me that none are available when I try to add them to my cart using the method above.

 

Got them in today.

 

I guess I'll be ordering from BBTS tomorrow.
