Eh, X-Treme X-Men was a good read, and his The End trilogy is highly underrated.
Will Donny Cates Be The New Writer on Thor?
I’d be down for that. Sounds like he would be great for writing a series that could have a jumping point for the character, which would be ideal for new readers.
...and it has been consistently AWFUL. Everything having to do with the DC "dark" multiverse has been a dull slog. An absolute chore to read.
More like trying to make an unpopular character in comics sell :/ If they make Carol suck again it’ll be the sixth time that people will hate her and have her series cancelled.
I didn’t say a lot of em were good
Multiple cancellations don’t mean people hate her because by that logic, a ton of other main Marvel characters were also hated by fans like Spidey, Cap, etc. Relaunches are practically a 1-2 year thing now by Marvel. I do agree that Marvel may be trying too hard in pushing her into A-list status but she’s far from what I’d call unpopular.
Yeah he’s already written a lot of things that tie into Aaron’s run, not to mention he has a pretty good handle on world building (Venom’s symbiote God) and a Thor like character like Beta Ray Bill. I would love to see what he can do there.
I really like Carol Marvel, just have zero interest in reading any of her solo series. She's great in a team book, but like Iron Fist, Mantis, or Black Knight, I couldn't care less or want to invest in their solo stories.
Her recent comics have been pretty unpopular (especially if it got cancelled 5 times *coughs*). Carol needs better writers.
Look I get it you hate Captain Marvel but as pointed out previously cancellations are a really bad metric to go make your stand on. That’s Marvel’s trend right now, they cancel and relaunch a ton of titles so often right now but I don’t see you using that same logic saying the X-Men, Guardians or Ant-Man are unpopular when Guardians has been cancelled/relaunched roughly the same amount and Ant-Man doesnt even have an ongoing after cancellation. I’m not even going to bother counting how many X-titles got “cancelled” and relaunched within months.
Yeah, because nobody wants to buy those comics either. They are part of the problem. That’s why people are calling that the comic industry will crash and burn (if they haven’t already). People are simply not interested in this-for a better word-series of comics marvel are pinching out.
What are you doing in this thread again?
Marvel has been transitioning to a “season” approach where they frequently cancel/relaunch series. Sometimes it’s the same team (Jason Aaron’s Thor), sometimes it’s a different one. I haven’t seen a lot said officially by Marvel on the why’s, but if I had to guess it’s because of the move towards micro-continuities. There’s a lot more consistency among Hickman’s various runs, or Remender’s runs, or Aaron’s or Cate’s, etc, than across the line as a whole.
This means cancellation only matters if it’s sudden.
I have noticed that. Everything is divided up into categories.
Marvel's 'Incoming' Comic Event Sets the Table for 2020
Some suspect it’s Hulkling wielding Excalibur. And that he might unite the Kree and Skrull empires.
And just to be clear it’s a one-shot called Incoming.
Jack Kirby named a Disney legend and Kirby display at Disney Hollywood studios at Disneyworld!

By the power of greyskull!! I HAVE THE POWER!!!!
Nah we all know who that really is and it's about time marvel got the rights!
Now where is our beastmaster vs conan comic marvel?
It’s most likely Hulkling from the looks of it, the Kree Skrull dynamic is a huge part of Marvel cosmic, and its so rare to get good cosmic stories lately, so hopefully Ewing knocks this out of the park.
They need to just make it official. People would accept it better and it'd a lot lot easier to keep track of and allow new readers to catch-up without playing who's on first.
Whoa, check out the bad Frazetta impersonation. Yikes.
The Savage Sword of Conan title will start a new story written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by Alan Davis, starting with issue #10 this October. I'm really looking forward to that.
Makes sense though. Only so much you can fit between 4 and 5. They'll probably relaunch to a Luke/Yoda or Leia/Lando series in 2020.
Also, since when is the Amazing Nightcrawler a thing?
