Hopefully, no one will buy the DC one, either. This hack garbage needs to stop.

Yes it does. It helps also explain why Hickman said this wasn't a time travel tale, and also explains the relevance. One of my least favorite comics in recent years is Iron Man 500 by Matt Fraction, and this was despite me greatly enjoying his run on Iron Man. It was a future story with a really bleak future and no mechanism for the story to really say or impact the present. Well, other than the obvious "This is all pointless because the future will be sucky." Future stories need to have some impact on the current story or it risks making the current continuity pretty pointless. Here, Hickman has found a way to make these future stories relevant without time travel.

Yeah, it's exciting stuff. A lot of twists in comics are both predictable and kinda pointless. This doesn't feel that way at all.

That's crazy talk. There's no way that will be the case for very long.

So Powers of X #3. We find out who Apocalypse's Four Horsemen are. Wolverine is War (again). But I noticed they has him as James Howlett not Logan.

Wonder if we'll find out why he went back to his original name.

Probably not, that was a different timeline, not the 616.

I'm guessing it's more to play off the angry fanboys who are complaining about Captain Marvel ruining things. That said, she looks waaaaayyy too similar to the female OMAC designs we got during the lead-up to Infinite Crisis

Agree, it's the most interesting X-Men has been to me in a long time. I am curious if the end of the mini will give us a resolution to the Moira X thing or not, as the Dawn of X books really look like they're still continuing off the continuity of HoX/PoX, which we are getting hints may not be the main timeline.

That said I checked out wiki recently to read up if Moira ever did come back after her death during the early 2000s, totally forgot she did during the Chaos War arc. At the end of the 3rd issue, Destiny possesses her temporarily to help guide other resurrected mutants. Wonder if Hickman was aware of that and if he'll use that in play given it's so obscure. The book though was apparently written by Louise Simonson and Claremont, so it kind of has that going for it.

Most likely Marvel will reboot/relaunch the title soon. Maybe a time skip to put the title in another time frame as they've been sticking to the pre Empire timeline for a long while now.

So the best course is to make her even more unlikeable?

Well if anything, getting a dark/evil version of a character gets people talking, and in most cases buying, I mean DC has been riding on the coattails of the Dark Multiverse for more than a year now, Marvel has done the same with multiple characters as well. And if you're talking about an actual unlikeable version of Carol, we already got one in Civil War II.

Why stop him from writing elsewhere though? I mean its not like he set the world on fire with Sovereign Seven.

Since they're the only Marvel books I buy, I'm still finding the Conan series good buys. I'm curious how Jason Aaron will do the "death of" angle for the main series, I find the Savage Sword stories entertaining without being too deep, and while Age Of can be hit or miss for me, I appreciate the spotlight on side characters from the mythos. Between the digital copy codes and Novella prose pieces in the back, at least I feel like getting my money's worth (though if they were 4.99, I probably wouldn't feel that way).
Funny enough, I never took the bait for Avengers: No Road Home or Savage Avengers. I don't have a strong distaste for Conan in the modern Marvel universe, I think it's more that I didn't want to commit to a 4th ongoing. I might catch up with those on trade.

Eh, X-Treme X-Men was a good read, and his The End trilogy is highly underrated.

...and it has been consistently AWFUL. Everything having to do with the DC "dark" multiverse has been a dull slog. An absolute chore to read.

More like trying to make an unpopular character in comics sell :/ If they make Carol suck again it’ll be the sixth time that people will hate her and have her series cancelled.
