Well, knew this was coming. With the real Wolverine being back and all. ‘‘Twas only a matter of time.

On the bright side Tom Taylor is writing X-Men Red, which has both X-23 and Honey Badger in it.

Hopefully this comic will also be good.

Here's How Hulk Is Resurrected in Avengers: No Surrender - IGN

“But how did Hulk come back to life? As it turns out, the answer is pretty simple. It's just what he does. The prologue sequence in this issue revisits the many times Banner and Hulk have faced death over the years, showing that each time, Banner's mind enters a doorway and Hulk's body regenerates. Resurrection is now as much one of his powers as his incredible strength.”

Also revealed is the true nature of Voyager.

She’s the Grandmaster’s daughter. Her ability is to teleport and in leave false memories in her wake.

She serves as Grandmaster’s ace in the hole, a role which she is tired of. And so she has an agenda of her own...

Well, regeneration is the Hulk's speciality.

I'm looking forward to the "Immortal Hulk" series, it's going back to the whole Jekyll/Hyde monster route that started the Hulk.

If anything this newfound immortality puts him more on par with Doomsday. To a lesser extent though.

Okay, I’ve recently decided to change my stance on the older comics, specifically anything from early 60’s up to the mid 90’s.

While I don’t intend to read entire series, I do intend to read notable/famous storylines(even if their not considered particularly good).

And I could use some suggestions.

    So far...

Avengers; the Korvac Saga. I’ve heard about this story quite a bit, and it brings back memories of EMH for me.

X-Men; Dark Phoenix Saga, this one was obvious. Age of Apocalypse is one I’ve heard a lot. And Onslaught is one I’m perhaps most familiar with because it provided me with a starting point for my reading list.

Fantastic Four; The Coming of Galactus, perhaps the only one from the 60’s I’m considering.

Iron Man; Demon in a Bottle and Armor Wars.

    Captain America; ...I’ve got nothin.

Thor; I’ve heard of an arc involving the Celestials and it sounds pretty epic, but I don’t know it’s name.

Hulk; Future Imperfect is one I’ve heard of quite a bit.

Spider-Man; I think the original Clone Saga and Maximum Carnage.

    Wolverine; Drawing a blank.

Black Panther; I guess Panthers Rage is the only one up to bat here.

Daredevil; Born Again, only one I could think of.

Venom; Lethal Protector, thanks to the movie.

Can’t think of anything for Doctor Strange or Punisher.

As for Events, Secret Wars and Constest of Champions.

OGN’s, Death of Captain Marvel and whatever the name was of the one that served as the inspiration for X-Men 2.

Well, that’s everything, any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.

Skip Onslaught, it was a mess. If you want big events, go with Dark Phoenix, Mutant Massacre, Fall of the Mutants, Inferno, X-Tinction Agenda, X-Cutioner's Song, and the Age of Apocalypse. There are others, but those are probably the best.

There are two trades that collect all of the X-23 solo stuff. All you need is those and the current All-New Wolverine series.

Heard a lot about those as well. And I’m more referring to storylines from the Wolverine comic that ran from 1988-2003, well before X-23 ever existed.

Personally, I'm glad they're making Laura X-23 again. I'm not so excited for the writer that's going to be taking over, though. Her run on the latest She-Hulk was god awful.

I'm most excited for the new Hulk. Taking the character back to its roots (changing at night) is gonna be fun.

So, I'm thinking about picking up Infinity Gauntlet (never read it), and I'm wondering if Infinity War and Infinity Crusade are work getting too. Thoughts?

If you are to read Infinity Gauntlet, then you should read Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos first as it leads right into it.

As for War and Crusade, I’ve heard that they aren’t held in as high a regard as Gauntlet, but they do make up the whole Infinity saga.

I suppose the current Infinity Countdown story is also a part of that, but that’s ongoing at the moment.

For Cap, I recommend Operation Rebirth/Man Without A Country by Mark Waid and Ron Garney and The Captain by Mark Gruenwald, as well as Ed Brubaker/Steve Eptings run beginning with Winter Soldier.

For Thor, Walter Simonson’s landmark run is a must read. That one is pretty much THE EPIC Thor run.

Spider-Man, Death of Gwen Stacy, and the first few Venom appearances, I believe the first few run ins with Venom are collected together. Back in the day when Venom showing up actually had Spidey running scared.

Wolverine - there’s Weapon X by Barry Windsor Smith, Wolverine by Claremont and Miller.

Black Panther - not sure what Priest’s run is called but that one really set up a lot of things for the modern era. The Jason Aaron Secret Invasion crossover book is a great mini also - shows you why you definitely shouldnt mess with Wakanda.

Daredevil - try the earlier Miller run as well, which contains the Elektra Saga and the first major retcon to DD’s background that stuck with him ever since.

Adding on to what Omegashark said, the two part series "Thanos Quest" is also a tie-in to Infinity Gauntlet. In fact, I'm surprised they don't include it in every trade for the story, since it shows how he got the gems in the first place, and defines the gems as they were for nearly 30 years.

Ed Brubaker’s whole run is on my list. I’m specifically look for stuff from before 1996-1998. I already have every Black Panther comic from 1998 onward.

It’s already collected in Silver Surfer: Rebirth of Thanos.

Avengers: Siege (I think), written by Roger Stern, the Masters of Evil vs the Avengers.
Wolverine: the early issues in the series, written by Chris Claremont. The Larry Hama/Marc Silvestri issues.
Spider-Man: “To Fight The Unbeatable Foe!” and the original Hobgoblin story arc. The Sin-Eater arc is pretty good too.
    Hulk: Peter David’s run.
    Thor: Simonson. Don’t hesitate.

    You were close, Under Siege.

The Wolverine miniseries by Claremont seems like a definite must, which I remember being the inspiration for The Wolverine.

Judging by the covers, I’m guessing Peter David’s run is where Grey Hulk was introduced.

If everyone says Simonson’s run on Thor is great, then I will sure as hell read it. :D

And I can’t believe I didn’t think of it at first, but I completely forgot Days of Futures Past.

PAD didn’t introduce the Gray Hulk, but he wrote most of the stories with him.

I personally liked the Defalco/Frenz run on Thor that followed Simonson, but it’s not as good as Simonson. That’s no slight on them, because Simonson really did set the standard. At least for modern Thor writers. I’m not going to elevate him above Lee and Kirby.

If you have a Kindle, Amazon has a lot of these stories on sale fairly often for great prices. I bought one of The Simonson Thor volumes I was missing, and the Under Siege story (I have the original issues, but now I don’t have to dig them out).

I believe the Thor story with he Celestials was called The Eternals Saga.

Unfortunately no, I’m doing this all via the Marvel comic app. Which has sales pretty damn often, but it’s always involving select comics.

And as soon as one ends, another takes its place.

I'm on my Kindle now. This thread piqued my interest, and I just finished reading The Once and Future Kang. It's another Avengers story by Roger Stern, and I think it immediately precedes Under Siege.
