Interesting. I kinda hope they make a joke about getting her hair into the helmet, lol

If the character is well accepted in the comics, and isn't replaced in a year, I could see them posibly bringing her into the movies once RDJ's done with Tony. Would be better than them recasting him and saying Tony got plastic surgery or some BS. Though I could also see them try and get Cheadle to stick around and have Rhodes be Iron Man for a while.

New Thor, new Cap, new Hulk, new Iron Man... we could have a new Hawkeye and new Black Widow too.

So Tony will either be sidelined or dead and a Ai based on the image. They start filming the next Avengers this fall, this will only last till the next film comes out. Same as all their other previous changes.

We already have a female Hawkeye from young Avengers who is an on and off sidekick of Clint's..

I have been reading some Avengers Collected Editions. I think they are some kind of What If stories. It's about Incursions that destroy all universes. In one of those books suddenly Captain America is old. But no explanation to it. And it feels like they left out a chunk of the story somewhere in between. Anyone know what happened?

Currently I'm reading another Avengers book White Out Event and I get the feeling the two series are related.

Not necesarily. We still have Jane and Sam running around as Thor and Captain America. Granted, we also now have Steve back as Captain America, but they didn't take the title away from Sam to do so.

As long as the character sells, I wouldn't put it past them to keep her around. Even when they do inevitably bring Tony back from whatever situation he'll be in post-CWII.

Wow. Is this never going to end?
There won't be an original character left at Marvel if the people doing this have their way. Or at least an original character left in a major role. Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hulk...
I think I'll just drop the SHIELD book now, before it ticks me off. Then I can ignore Marvel completely. The books they put out now just don't interest me anymore.

It's much better than having the same status quo for the same characters forever. It's not the first time Tony hasn't been Iron Man, or Cap has stepped down from his role, and you can't really expect a character to stay the same for the whole time without some sort of character change/evolution.

I want to read about the characters, not the names. I have no interest in new people using the same names, therefore I have no interest in reading the current books.

I think the issue here for a lot of folks (I guess me included) is that everything is changing all at once and none of it feels organic in the least. It all feels like change just to make headlines and "shake things up."

It's like Marvel is just going down its checklist of heroes one by one and making radical changes for no real reason other than to get press. The change comes first, then the story, not the other way around. It never feels organic and always feels forced, imo.

It also just feels like a testbed for MCU ideas at this point, with them testing out replacements to every major character who has expiring film contracts soon.

I'll be honest: I'm kind of interested in this new Iron-man. I'm not sure how they'll handle this, and marvel will eventually reestablish the status-quo, so I think I might give this one a look.

To me, if the story is good, I'll follow it. It not, I'll say it's shit. Jane Foster Thor has been damn good. I think some of the dialogue has been silly, but I like the book overall. Sam Wilson as Captain American has been... well, I only read two issues of that title before I dropped it.

I like that they're changing things up at Marvel. I may not like all of their reasons for the changes, but I like that we're getting new/different versions of these characters.

You mean like the 60s? Flash, green lantern, got replaced, Vision was replaced by a robot, Electro was replaced by a bad guy, Black Widow was replaced by a spy, Torch was replaced with a teen, Etc.

You want to know the thor I liked the most? Eric. You want to know the flash I liked the most? Wally. You want to know the vision I like the most? The robot one, You want to know the green lantern I like the most? Kyle. The captain Marvel I liked the most is not the original also. None are the originals.

It's sad the these folks complain about heroes getting replaced when sometimes the replacement is really good or better.

I don't want to be rude i'm just saying give them a chance.

So I'm suddenly in this X-Men mood and decided I want to get back into the series, but the older stuff. As such, I picked up these two books:

Yeah, that's my thing. I don't care if they make a female super hero, just don't call that super heroine Iron Man. Why not an Iron Woman?
