That's gorgeous...a much better specimen than mine, but it's nice to see different pieces.

    Thanks!

On another note, I know there's been discussion many times on how to display sealed figures. More specifically, someone brought up the idea of using a book holder or something along those lines to display carded figures. If they're tilted at an angle, it would supposedly reduce the amount of pressure on the bubble. Has anyone done this? I'd like to do it with my carded Brawn, but I'm wondering what I should use. The minibot display cases are pretty thick, so you would need a decent-sized stand to hold it. Any feedback, suggestions, experiences, etc.? If I have to, I'll leave it on its back, but since I like to display everything, it will kill me to do this.

I've been looking at the display cases used for jewelry shops where they are more like a high long table/bench kind of thing. They have a glass top so I'll be putting my minis & some boxed figures flat on their back under the glass viewed from the top & the styro boxed figures underneath viewed from the front. The case will be narrow, about 18 inches - 24 deep 4ft high x 8ft long. Kinda hard to explain what my idea is but it's the best I've come up with to display them flat & still be easily viewed. Of course this doesn't help answer your tilted shelf idea you're talking about but the above idea is what I'm doing. Just throwing it out there as a suggestion. Might get your creative juices going :)

Stunning specimen, interesting that he has the hollow rear rudders but short fat pegs on a pre rub jet, must be transitional.

Everything about this item screams rarity.

    All the best

Is that a yes? I can't wait to tell everyone Screamer's my date.

I can't wait to see the other two seekers as well.

Funny that you mentioned this. I've been following this auction (knowing all about this seller's antics) and I just saw the current bid a few minutes before you posted. I was going to mention it, but you beat me to it. Anyway, yeah, it's funny. Someone's giving the seller a little taste of their own medicine.

Just unbelievable how you find this stuff Jon. Can't wait to see the others!!

Oh & I mean this in a very nice & educational way Maz but they're elevators ;)  the rudder is the yaw control surface on the vertical stabilizer or fin. Now I want to know more about the hollow elevators!! :D

This will look much better in the proper display case (have him in a spare Dinobot case as I wait on my Sludge), but here's a new Con addition. I need more bad guys, as my Bot-to-Con ratio is more than 2-to-1, so I'm working on it.

Hey Bobi--yes, I think it will be a 90. Either way its beautiful. A pristine time machine back to summer of '84.

Very soon there could very well be all 3 1984 pre-rub jets in AFA 85-90 grade in one collection.

Jon, doesn't Andy have a 90 pre-rub Skywarp? You mentioned Screamer being the first MISB 90 pre-rub seeker if it gets graded as such, which is the only reason I ask (or maybe you were referring specifically to Starscream). In any event, you're in elite company, and having all three pre-rub seekers graded between 85 and 90 is nothing short of epic.

    Not me. :)

Jon's stellar pic of that pre-rub Hound a week or so ago has had me dreaming of the guy. He is my favorite G1 character after all. Mine is the rub version and not nearly as nice as Jon's, but he's one of my favorite collection pieces.

And how about a shot of the two green Autobot SUVs together.
