Oh man I just love the Takara cassettes, & in 85 too no less. I so wish the U.S/Ozzy versions were carded that way.

Thats a cracking piece Mark! It amazes me that some of these big boxes have survived in that condition for so long uncased. Congrats on the pick up :)

Just picked up a couple sealed figs I was thinking about having graded but was curious if it was worth it, I am pretty magnus wouldnt grade well because of the falp crease and corner ding, but how do you think skywarp and starscream would fare? main problem with starscream is that it had a sticker like magnus and skywarp but fully on the window owner took it off and residue is visible? Yes the sticker placement sucks

did notice tape on one side loose on skywarp and starscream but looking through window figures never removed from cards i think it is just the old tape

I think they all are at worst 75s, at best 80s. You can clean them up a bit; maybe even remove the price tags. Definitely worth grading if you're keeping them. If you want to sell them, you shouldn't grade them.

Just curious why that is based on what i have seen an 80 starscream go for it seems like it would be the opposite way around? I do plan on selling ended up trading my ps4 and some games for them and a sealed megs with a beat up box

Four afa 80 Starscreams have sold recently between $800 and $1200 (two were best offers) and two are currently listed for around $1300 with no movement. It all depends on how much $$ you have into it and what you hope to get. But if you invest time & $ into grading it and it comes back an afa 75, your profit margin shrinks. If you sell it ungraded, bidders speculate and they take the risk. Or at least share it with you. Just my .02, but you can go for it and see. Nice pick up on Megs!

They are super sweet man. I'd have a go at getting rid of that sticker on that Skywarp if you can. A couple of guys on here have had success at doing that without destroying whats underneath. I've got a few calls wrong of late as far as grades go but I called 80's when they got 85's so I'm harder on grades than AFA apparently. The Starscream is an 80 at worst but a real shot at an 85. It's in similar condition to my 85 so my prediction is an 85 with 80-85-90 subs. I'd get that badboy cased up for sure tarouza!

I've really enjoyed this thread but I've been on the sidelines way too long. While I am working on a larger project, I figured I would contribute something. So here's a recent acquisition. Mirage pre rub AFA 85.
