That makes sense. I just started collecting AFA last month and wanted to start with 1987, since that is the year I remember most fondly. Unfortunately, haven't been able to turn up much. I'll guess I'll give it more time.

AFA 80+ MISB Chromedome. These headmasters are so tough to find in this condition.

Overpriced and that's why you have to keep relisting them on ebay. Also, if people were really interested, your inbox would have been flooded. Come on.

This is a little off-topic: has anyone here AFA'd an unassembled Botcon Customization Class Kit? I'm not sure if they would even do it but I just picked up the 2008 & 2013 kits from the TFCC closing sale and was thinking that they would look good spread out in an AFA case.

My latest purchase. Very excited about this guy. Probably overpaid, but this figure holds special significance for me. I got this figure for Christmas 1985, and it was one of the few cars I owned. Therefore very high priority.

Incredible purchase. Recapturing a little bit of our youth with favorite memories like this piece is well worth the cost. Congrats.

No those were not graded. The collector that has them still has them in the case. He has a sweet case collection going on.

    Thanks Morgan.

I appreciate some may find my prices expensive so please send any sensible offers and they will be considered.

And the interest has been off the scale with many offers coming in but the time of year seems to be restricting a lot of peoples wallets.

When the insert is visible, like on this snarl (top of inside), does that turn you guys off? I'm just trying to see how big of a deal is it.

download.jpg (Not mine, just using as an example)

I don't know how the AFA views it, but I think it reduces the desirability. Regardless of the grading, I wouldn't be willing to pay nearly the same for that example as I would for a pristine one with a perfect view of the figure.

I've seen quite a few dinobots like that and it seems like AFA doesn't take that into account with the grade. I feel that they should.

I'm on the fence as to whether it is a turn off though.

If it was a tough piece to find, I think I would compromise. For Snarl? Probably not and only because if you wait a few months, there will be another one in better shape.
