Hey everyone. I thought I could use the spare time that I have to make a comic for all of the TF fans out there.

This first post will be a test of my camera, and a teaser trailer, of sorts. Enjoy.





























So, what did you think? Depending on what people say, more will be on the way. (Ha-ha, I sounded like Wheelie.) Reader input is always valued.

 

That's not the problem, I tried that and it still doesn't work. The problem is all the images are links to Imageshack pages and not just the image.

nicholsG1, what you have to do is go to each link and right click the images, then copy the image URLs.

 

I'm trying, but it won't work.

I liked how when Ravage sees the camera he just falls over.  

 

in the comic, he is sort of a "garfield" type character.

 

Images are a bit too large. I recommend resizing them to 800x600 or something along those lines, so that way they don't blow up the site when they are loading.

Also, most of the pics are a bit on the blurry and out of focus side, and the text is too small, making me have to squint to even see what's being said. Heck, I really have no idea what's even going on in this "teaser" of yours.

Not trying to sound harsh here, but I'm only trying to provide constructive criticism so that you know what you need to improve before you begin more work on your comic.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat with TRANS+CRAZY. Pictures are too large, text is too small and pictures are a little blurry. No matter how good the story might be, in a photocomic the technical details can be a big hindrance to being able to enjoy one.

 

Well the size of the pictures contributes to the size of the text. When the image is full size, the text is big, but when it's resized the text shrinks.

As for what's going on, it looks like Ravage is just playing around. Playing up to the camera and pretending to fly and what not.

But as for the blurry pics, come on, mine are usually not any better.  

 

I'll work on the text for the next update. as for the camera, my hands shake, sorry. 

 

Do you use a digital camera? If its a digital camera, use the 'macro' setting.

 

Not too bad for a first outing but I have some...constructive criticism that might help.

1. ) Don't shoot in front of a computer monitor that is on. The lighting screws with the shots.

2.) If you can, try to show what the characters are doing with movement rather than typing their actions. Now in some cases, that just wont work and you'll have to type it in. But to be honest. most of the thing Ravage was doing, I got the idea of what he was doing without the text telling me. (but then again I have cats, so that kinda behavior is everyday for me, so maybe my opinion on that is biased)

3.) Steadier shots. If your hands shake, you can make an improvised tripod or platform for your camera for steadier images. I don't know if your hands shaking thing is a medical issue or just nerves, so whatever works for you.

4.) Take backup shots. Pictures on a digital camera screen look a little different than they will full size on Microsoft paint or Photoshop. If you're on a shot with some tricky lighting or an odd angle, take another shot for safety, using different lighting or a different flash setting. By doing this you may also stumble upon the best type of lighting to use for all your shots
