Someone scanned and translated some of the Russian TFP comics . . . I really hope this Vehicon survived the war.

 

Vehicons are well known to be subject to the Ninjutsu preservation rule.

Their effectiveness is inversely proportional to their numbers.  

 

This is probably the most development we'll ever get out of a Vehicon.

 

and that Vehicons name was Steve.

Seeing Airachnid in the mud at the end was rather satisfying. Serves her right.

I like how he's so determined to appear intimidating. "Well--it was an accident! And next time I'll totally get you, Optimus Prime! Yeah!"

Airachnid. Liked so much that nobody's really upset when she's kicked by a Vehicon.  

 

Vehicon is best hero.

 

I don't care if the show's over, I'm committing to an Optimus/Steve ship.  

 

Lovely short comic. However am I the only one just so impressed with the art? That and they included Airachnid's toy weapons (but got here eyes wrong)?

 

Aw man, this comic actually has Optimus with a personality. Also completely not how it'd go in the show.

If this was the show, Optimus would spout some heroic nonsense and then blow the Vehicon's head clean off because HEROIC.

But I'm glad this comic is not that.  

 

I though prime was handing him the log so he would be considered armed and he could take him out.

 

Are you kidding me? This was a better plot idea than half of what Prime gave us.

It was a cool comic, but maaaan...some of the posts it's attracted are reminding me of why I stayed off the Prime forums for years. You can tone it down, guys, the show's dead and gone.

At least I can still enjoy Steve.

 

I know, right?? The lineart is by Dan Khanna, coloring by Evan Gauntt (I think). They are both on DeviantArt, which is actually the first place I saw art from these comics. For example:

Unfortunately the actual comics are really hard to find, being only sold in Russia as far as I can tell.

 

Cool. I like it when nameless generics gets character development.
