Hang on so it could be cybertrons core?

 

Just Cybertron.

The movie is about trying to bring Cybertron back to life. I see no logic behind bringing another planet that looks identical to it. Plus it looks like they already showed the scene where it's rebuilding itself by trying to come together.

 

Maybe. Unless....

....Prime learns he was responsible for its destruction from the Quints, they end up controlling him, and they consequently trick him into restoring one of their own planets.

I suspect the Quints are not only builders of Transformers, but of whole worlds.

Who knows. I definitely doubt it's Unicron though.

 

It's Earth they're standing on... One of the scenes in the trailer shows a junk yard and up in the sky you can see the Earth's moon along with this alien planet thing on approach. The scene that shows the alien planet near the moon appears to just be a fly by, again as it's headed toward the Earth.

Given the surface of the alien planet looks similar to Cybertron in DOTM, but is also significantly smaller than Cybertron was shown, I'm thinking it's either the creators or some other Cybertronian offshoots. Or maybe what's left of Cybertron after the failed trip through the space bridge...

 

Makes sense being cybertron also , if it is.....what's at it's core holding all these peices together....

 

I'm sticking with my theory that it's Quintessa, or some kind of funky Quintesson mother ship.

 

As I've said, the planetoid that looks to be destroying The moon is not Earth. You even see from the trailer that cade is on Earth in the junk yard and you see the moon and the planetoid in the sky. So this tells me this event happens at the beginning of the movie more or less and that Cade and crew set out to stop it from reaching/destroying Earth. Go look in the screen cap thread and you guys can see what I mean.

 

First of all it's not Earth. I know that for a fact and also this screenshot. Look in the right corner.

Second of all, I could be wrong, but I don't think that's Cybertron, for they already introduced it by using the pillars to bring it to Earth. But then the pillars were destroyed. That's why I don't think it's Cybertron.

 

Wasn't it confirmed that we will see Cybertron in this movie? It also looks like Cybertron from DOTM with the shapes and stuff, its obviously smaller like Red Goblin said, but its more like overgrowth? Maybe the creators were controlling it and brought it somehow to earth? Maybe Stonhenge will turn out to be another spacebridge?

 

And if you look at the trailer, the planetoid has its own core. You can see the sparks inside but it's core is a solid black metallic and the tendrils look like dark mater coming from it.

 

I personally thought it was Unicron, along with my other friends at school. I've also heard something about how Unicron was confirmed. And also why else would Optimus/Nemesis Prime's eyes would be purple?

 

So Cybertron is rebuilding itself by eating other planets?

 

He's not confirmed per say, just heavily homage'd and hinted at

Quintessons / Creator controlling Optimus could be it?

 

Well,on the one hand that could be Unicron,who in the movie could look just like Primus (Cybertrons core),thus he has a simillar appearence,only that he has to consume other planets to be ble to survive.He may trick Optimus and feed him with darn energon,hence the purple eyes.
On the other hand, that may be what is left of cybertron,and it is somehow still attracted to earth because not all pillars were destroyed.

 

I guess so,at least I'm gonna go with this for now.And it's smaller because that's what remained after DOTM.

 

Yeah, okay, but this tentacled thing appears to be round shaped nd Cybertron was left in an uneven shape, obviously half of it was sucked in a black hole.

 

while it looks like Cybertron, I'm still not convinced it is. I think that would be the obvious easy answer and the whole Cybertron coming to Earth thing has already been done.

 

Maybe but this time they plan to revive it(I think for real now) and those 2 parts of it seen on Earth look technorganic maybe they took inspiration from Beast Machines and Cybertron has both technological and organic matter.I think it's Prime that does it..close to the end when he's cured but that's my theory so yeah...
