He's just so... BORING. I don't like that so much of the value is wrapped up in the little plastic gun pieces. "Simple" isn't something I was looking for in the transformation, either.

Plus, those photos - every time he was up next to another Roadbuster figure... it was like a tour of just exactly why he's the most boring Roadbuster ever...!

I agree that the wheels on the arms stick out too much though.

 

Other than the clown feet, he looks pretty cool.

 

He looks really cool, but I'm glad I have the FansProject Revolver. This is just a tad too streamlined for my tastes. Still, probably the best alternative if you want Roadbuster but don't want to buy Revolver.

 

Yeah... mostly pretty nice, but I'd be lying if I said those hollow legs and flat feet didn't bug me every time I look at them. Surely there was some other way to engineer that.  

You're not alone. The head is the other thing that's been nagging at me with this design. It's so CLOSE to being a kickass G1 Roadbuster rendition, but the head and the legs are just a bit weird.

I'm seriously considering finding a head-swap for this guy. That head is not winning me over.

Damn, these pics just convince me to buy Revolver...

 

While it's a slight improvement, it certainly doesn't make him super incredible imo. He's one of the few CHUG figures who actually look worse then his original G1 toy. While him being loaded with weapons is nice and all, in the end the bot has no bulk. His limbs are long and lanky, his feet are silly looking and his torso looks pretty flat and actually has gaps you can see right through. On top of that, they even messed up the most iconic parts of his face, which even the FoC version got right. There's just more wrong with him to me then there is right, which is sad cause I would've loved a big ass Roadbuster for my Wreckers.

 

There's a handful of details that I would have wanted to be different, but the overall package looks to be a rather pleasant toy.

Agreed. This looks so ...   so glad I have Revolver + armor upgrades/extra guns.

 

When are we going to see him and skybyte show up in stores already? I can't remember if it was supposed to be released in July, or August.

 

Looks like he has some good articulation, double jointed knees and elbows. The other thing he looks like he is missing is wrist articulation and a waist swivel. The wheels in the back of his legs look like they could bang into things, though I wonder if we can transform it slightly to get them out of the way.

Pretty good, even without taking into account the arsenal of gear he comes with.

 

I'm kind of in the same boat, but I just don't care about Roadbuster enough as a character to throw down the cash for Revolver. I'll settle for the $20 Hasbro thing.

 

I could see hardhead and Swindle repaint/Remold parts already.

 

I still don't understand the appeal for Revolver Core, but whatever floats your boat I guess.

Can't wait until Roadbuster is available out here, gonna look real good compared to the Hot Shot redeco we got a while back. Heck, I'm even excited about the sticker sheet- the whole package looks fun.

 

Wish he was an Ultra class but this version is a nice updated version.

 

A little irritated that his rifle is hollow on one side, but at least there is a port on the hollow side so I can plug one of the other accessories in there. Still stoked about this Bot.

 

Seriously? Revolver's alt mode looks like a box on wheels.
