I play guitar, bass, and do vocals on all of these. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=142079 http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_music.cfm?bandID=311123
I am frustrated because I can't play that much anymore, so I hit my prime about 10 years ago. I have a recording of me playing Voodoo Chile (slight return) with a solo at the end I don't even know how I pulled off. I would post it on my Soundclick but I don't think I can put covers on there. Oh and to the OP that is some impressive playing, I wish you could here the rythem just a little more too, because it sounds like it works really well.
Alright here it is. It's like 12 years old, the drummer and I were kinda just screwing around, I knew the intro but not much after that so we just kinda improvised. Nothing too great, just some parts towards the end that I don't think I could do again. Atleast not right now. Voodoo Chile
Oh, I wouldn't say that. There's some really awesome rhythm chops in there, though I'd say there's also a bit of clipping or something going on in the recording process that could be worked out. But the basics of good playing is there. Good stuff everybody.
cant shred here too, but then again i played self taught. would like to learn blues riffing tho. also i got me some petite hands, not condusive for shredding. ill play the 1st 2/3rd of stairway solo and then when i get to last bit = epic fail.
To the OP, nice job, man, and good luck! You guys all rock. I was in a band on rhythm, mostly covers of early Metallica, Megadeth, etc. Haven't had time to play much lately, I just look at my Explorer on the wall That riff is awesome, man! I definitely feel that
Well aware, like I said, none of it was recorded well. I don't have any good equipment for that. Gonna work that out when I can! "basics of good playing" almost feels like an insult I know you didn't mean it that way though
Needs more cowbell ! i'm learning bass guitar...eventually me and some friends might be forming a death metal band...
This is the best that I've got recorded. Not the greatest quality or speed, but what the heck. http://www.mediafire.com/?2sdasvzzzjx http://download.yousendit.com/F4B6FFEC50F01D18
Hey man it ain't all about speed, it's about feel! As long as you have good vibrato, some nice tone control, and great emotion in your playing, you're set, no matter what tempo you're at. All of that stuff is the actual "hard" part of playing music that resonates with people. Anybody can pick up a guitar and learn how to play intricate shit after practice, but there's so much more to it than being able to play all the notes, you know?
