Man, I just cannot like Diaclone Powered Convoy's colors. Except for the cab, that is... but that's rather irrelevant in this case, isn't it?

As repaint of figure I expected see some new accessories something make worth buying from original colors for those who want repaint version

 

Due to the cost, the lack of new accessories and the lack of a detachable cab/bot, I can\'t justify buying this mold again.  It\'s a shame because even though the gimped combiner wars version is similar, I\'d buy THAT version in THESE colours, especially if it came with a Legends class optimus prime with roller recolour (blue cab, red buggy, yellow pilot/car).

 

Those are for UM not Delta.

 

Oh that's fine too. But they actually make UM look like UM. Took me from being okay with MP UM to being completely satisfied.

Well that and the X-2 shoulders and gun.....

 

Agreed the blue shade makes UM looks UM especially from TFTM. In regard to putting the shade on Delta, looks kind of meh. A sky blue shade with a red head and a dark blue upper torso don't seem to match well. Overall, Delta colors does not do it for me. I don't like those blue triangles below the window chest. The red arm made him too much Prime. I prefer my boy UM colors. Otherwise, the photos looks amazing, very sharp and clear!

If you mean the cab, he has black legs, fists, and head. It was never available without the trailer/armor.

Well...there's a Marissa Faireborn mini figure...but I don't think a poorly detailed and barely articulated figurine is enough to justify nearly $200.

I want this, but I already have the mold, and he's cool...just hope he gets discounted in the future.

 

Anyone else besides me prefer an Optimus Prime/Convoy colored cab with this trailer? I know the blue/black cab is far more common. But given that a small number of the Diaclone sets had the Optimus colored cab, I prefer to think of this as an Optimus Prime/Convoy trailer rather than an alternate colored Ultra Magnus.

 

A little history...I was really wanting the e-hobby Commemorative Edition repaint of the G1 toy from a decade or so back. At the time, I'd just started a new job at much less pay than my prior one and money was tight to the point it was an unjustifiable purchase, even at $125 on BBTS. By the time I had cobbled enough together, the price had shot up over $200 and I shelved the idea of owning one. It now goes for $400-600 MISB on Ebay.  

So, I was excited over the idea we were getting a Diaclone colored Masterpiece figure...and finally had enough funds to score it. I was holding out, hoping Hasbro might throw me a bone on the CHUG front at a cheaper price...but that didn't look like it was happening, with "Delta Prime" simply being Super Ginrai.

I'm still not 100% happy with the buttplate, my biggest complaint on the mold in general...the second still the lack of a detachable, transformable cab. But overall, I'm very happy to own him. He has die-cast metal feet, so that adds some heft to the figure.

Kind of weird, though, his bio implies he's actually Powerdrive, the dune buggy the original Powered Convoy came with. So, basically, they took the IDW Magnus armor idea and passed it on to Delta instead of Ultra.
