Cliffjumper looks good but he definitely has a huge backpack there.

I'm really loving that Blitzwing. That and Sky Lynx will probably be the only two things I preorder

 

The trailer for the Netflix series was great! Studio Series reveals are fantastic and seeing Cliffjumper was a surprise!

 

No Unicron updates either? That's a shame

 

Okay: Beast Wars, Beast Machines, RID 2001, Armada, Energon (when actually hand-drawn), even Cybertron had characters with more facial definition despite having really poor CGI. Venturing outside of Transformers you have the various Brave series, Gurren Lagann, and even the Gundam series where the robots aren't even alive and their faces don't even more manage to actually have more dynamic and expressive sculpts than a literal flat plain with lips and a box for a nose. Don't even try and say you can't give a robot a decent face, it's been possible for years inside and outside of 3D animation.

Hell, despite the CGI being objectively inferior in that last pic, Hot Shot's face still looks more like a face than Bumblebee's.

That was easy, locked in my free shipping orders for Scorponok, Snapdragon, Fasttrack, Doubledealer, the Selects Tape set and the last bits of Devastator.

 

Honestly, I got a good laugh at Wardens “religiously G1” comment about Scorponok’s base mode. That comment literally sums up most of this brand.

In all seriousness, these were some pretty solid reveals. I almost wish I had money on me so I could get Scorponok. I’ve never been invested in the Titan figures, but he looks solid. And other than Soundwave, the Studio Series figures look amazing.

Preordered all of the Earthrise stuff. Pretty excited. Want that Thunderhowl too.

 

I wish they had as much to say about the Studio Series figures as they did for all the Earthrise ones...

But everything looks great. A little bummed Frenzy is stuck in a 4 pack with 3 other cassettes I have no interest in.

 

so i guess we'll get a second wave for the netflix line which is cool. i need to rewatch the trailer but im not sure i like what i see, using the toy models doesnt work that well in my opinion and the voicing is terrible, the cyberverse trailer managed to convey a more serious tone with its voices, i wouldn't say it's the fault of the voice actors but more with the people who mix the voices

 

Does this mean that the rest of the cybertronian designs from Bumblebee are now viable for SS releases? Or was Cliffjumper chosen just because he's definitely gonna get remolded into cybertronian Bee down the line?

 

I don't even remember them mentioning Studio Series voyager-class Sentinel Prime, but there's a premium-member preorder on Pulse:

That cassette pack is very disappointing.

 

I guess this means the cassette micromaster molds are tied to their pack mates? I'm glad to be avoiding another Ravage, but would rather Wingthing be based on the Pteraxadon battlemaster and this set have Buzzsaw. It is good to see Knok and Skar though. Knok even gets a new head sculpt.
