I read through this, and those were some pretty solid questions. I'm just trying to figure out why people are so adamant about having the G1 Kingdom characters show up in Studio Series. It makes no sense, and literally the only thing that will change is the packaging. That's it.

These are some great questions. That entire conversation about the Fossilizer combiner was a fantastic example of how to utilize the format.

I'm still hoping for a Predacon repaint of Wingfinger since it'd fit in better with Paleotrex and Ractonite when I combine them.

Judging from the response above, they seem receptive to the idea.

I wonder if the feedback from Mark's custom is opening doors for future modular/combining figures.

This one wasn't planned, but next time...

They're not going to shoe horn UT gimmicks into BW figures and it's incredibly unlikely that minicons and cyber keys will even actually do anything as extensive as they used to do, if anything at all

    Ding,ding,ding,ding...we have a winner!

Basically Hasbro plans out what they are going to make for Earthrise first and figure out whether those toys go to the mainline or as exclusives to who, what, where from there. So they didn't offer a two pack of say Sunstorm and Black Ironhide because that's not the figures that they had plans to create, but they did have plans to make a Dirge and Ramjet two pack and needed a place to sell them and Amazon picked it up along side a myriad of other exclusives.

Amazon's issues after that were out of Hasbro's hands, but they say they are addressing it.

Haven't seen/read the other Q&As yet, but disappointed that the issues with SS86 Jazz weren't brought up. He's one of my favorite characters and the toy looks awesome, but all the reports of fragility and windshield cracks have me spooked.

Also echoing others: wish other exclusives were brought up. I get the sense that most worked out OK (correct me if I'm wrong) and it appears that Thundercracker/Skywarp are getting another go. But Ratchet/Lifeline and Prowl/Ironhide certainly didn't go well at all. My Ratchet/Lifeline preorder is still just... sitting there. I think I see cobwebs.

...and I, for one, am happy with the Prime Wars Insecticons. I don't know what their proper scale should be, but I like 'em small.

The Minicons that Transmetal Airazor, Rhinox, Cheetor, and Terrorsaur had didn't do anything. They were purely cosmetic. I just think it'd be nice if the BW figures were able to "share" in the lines' gimmick even superficially.

    Also think about it:
Leader Class Transmetal Megatron with a Minicon version of his Rubber Ducky.
    ...Honestly, I'd buy it.

I'm with you on the insecticons. Not to say I wouldn't buy updated siege scale ones, but if they aren't made I will be happy with what I got.

The Prime Wars Insecticons are cute but where the deluxe Insecticons at!?

I know they made a Chop Shop but it'd be nice to get a better one?

They didn't plaster 5mm ports all over the Kingdom BW figures to accomodate weaponizers/modulators/fossilizers, they're not going to plaster 5mm posts all over subsequent BW figures unless they decide to alter their design aesthetics, which is something they claim they don't want to do. If they released UT versions of the transmetals that released in Armada then I could see alternate tooling to give them the 5mm posts, but the standard releases won't have them.

I would say thrust is popular because he’s in a popular team and let’s be honest if you’re not gonna say thrust is popular how can anyone say Prowl is popular? Or thundercracker? Or huffer? Windcharger? Bluestreak? These are characters that had a line here or there but they never did anything to make them popular and yet folks gripe they’re exclusives

Coming soon to a (hopefully still open) store that sells toys near you: Transformers: Oops all gimmicks!

Each figure is a target-action-powermaster pretender combiner complete with rubsign, mini-cons, Cyber planet key, mutant faces, Automorph and Stealth force technology.

That's because it would have ruined the "realistic beast mode aesthetic" they were going for. Transmetals don't have that excuse. Tranmmetals are robot animals so adding like one or two 5mm posts on them for a Minicon shouldn't be that big of a deal.

They have also said they won't shoe horn in gimmicks into figures for the most part moving forward and use gimmicks as they make sense for the characters. None of the BW characters used minicons or cyber keys, so those gimmicks would not make sense on BW characters.

Honestly I'd love for Kingdom to be extended to a wave 5 just to get more Fossilizers (Core, Deluxe), but I'll take GS or store exclusive too.
