Suggestion: consider changing the icon that you use to like a post.. so there is more differentiation between it and the icon used to show how many existing likes there are. When you see this view... the icon on the left looks like the one you should click.. as it says 'Like' next to it.. but its actually the OTHER icon you want to click Example: Also mixing the terms 'rating' and 'like' in the UX is confusing. 'Likes' has a lot of negative connotations from other environments but in my experience once the initial dust settles.. its ok. The key is to make sure people keep 'likes' as light hearted and limited in value. By mixing in the term 'rating', you muddy that slightly and give more percieved value to it because people will see 'ratings' as somehow valuing people. Vs simply seeing likes as 'has created a lot ofposts that people ack'd for one reason or another'. I never got any news credits.. but seems a shame those are drowned in the likes count.
